Eh? How come the reviews are saying the Lightning has a depth of ~4cm, and the Twin Frozr III has a depth of ~6cm? I dont think you understand what I'm getting at. If the Lightning is the same thickness as the PCI bracket then it'll fit in my case with the soundcard below it, no problem - if the TFIII is 2cm thicker than the Lightning, it WONT fit...if that makes sense. :rolleyes:

Is your motherboard an Asus P6TD Deluxe by any chance? Looks exactly the same as mine!

Judging by the 2nd picture, it looks like my soundcard might just fit but I'm not 100% sure. Worst comes to worst I'll just remove the Souncard. Trying it out now without one and I can't tell the difference to be fair!

I don't think you'll be able to get another card underneath, as the cooler is 2-3mm thicker than 2 slots. If you did get the card under I think it would severely restrict the amount of air getting to your graphics card.
 
Yeah I see what you mean now after looking at those other pics (appreciate that btw!)

I'll end up purchasing one soon I hope, if not I'll wait and see what these 7950's are saying when they get properly announced and hope the 69xx prices drop! Current 5870 is doing fine atm anyways.

Yeh i get what you're getting at...

They're the same card, google 6970 lightning, you'll see it has the twin frozr III cooler on it. If you look at the 6970 twin frozr III board you'll see it says lightning.

The only difference in the cards is the lightening is overclocked and tested properly. these are the same board and cooler but not overclocked and have not been tested at the overclock speeds.

Just looked to me like the TF3 was 2cm thicker than the Lightning - not to worry!
