Tuchel to England.

Damn.. I wanted him to be appointed at United.

This season gets better and better :/

Far too volatile a club and at this time for someone like Tuchel who hasn't proved he has the patience and measure to stay somewhere, build a project. He's a good coach and proper personality who can galvanise a squad, but I don't think he's got what's needed at United at this moment. High chance of car crash TV if he'd taken the reigns... Although would have been more entertaining at the least :D

Yeh I do agree. But he would have made some strong changes from the get go imo.

I thought it would be a good fit, for now at least. Oh well, suspect he just didn't want that job (who can blame him I guess...).

With Tuchel and Southgate out, who does that leave?

Surely the new manager has to have EPL experience? Potter? Surely after his Chelsea stint that's a no-go?

Does that mean ETH stays and the club hope for an improvement but accept mid table? Or RvN takes over as a caretaker until end of season, this does seem risky but if we keep losing...

I think the Glazers would have sacked ETH and gone straight for Tuchel. I am hoping INEOS and Ashworth have a smarter plan in mind…

Potter would not surprise me, and I don’t think it can be Southgate. I actually like Thomas Frank and think he would be a very interesting appointment.

Apparently they’d been in contact with the Stuttgart manager, Sebastian Hoeneß, but he didn't want to move yet.

I'm sure plans are being made that we aren't privy to, top 4 will be viewed as critical this season and ETH is miles away from that at the moment. It'll be tough for any manager but as it stands we've got no chance.
