I do like Guinness but not in copious quantities. The problem is when I spent some time in Cork and Dublin I got addicted to the stuff... I just don't like it as much over here as I did over there. It's a good solid man's drink that's for sure ;)

I'm quite shocked that you found anywhere in Cork that poured a decent pint of Guinness. That's Murphy's country.... which is a whole new can of worms.

Guinness is one of the few, decent constants as far as beer goes. Almost every pub sells it so if you can't find a local brew you like, Guinness is always around to fall back on (the other main constant is "Broon Ale").

Stan :)

That's the problem for me though, coming from Ireland and now living in England, Guinness isn't a constant, it's a very different drink. I get to go home at least once a month to get my quote though :D

Whats all this about Guinness being a 'mans drink'?
I could drink you so-called men under the table with Guinness!!
BLACKCURRANT??? What is the world coming to?

I've had, think, 11 pints of it. Was gone after that!!
Did i mention im 16? Very deprived of the 'good stuff'! You know what i mean. ;)
Sorry had to get it off my chest!!

It's spelt GUINNESS ffs!

Guinness is the best drink in the world, amen.

After a few pints, if I try and move on to lager I'm physicially sick. Lager tastes like antispetic if anything! In fact I can't stand lager, ales all the way!

It does indeed taste different, it is the highlight of my yearly trip to Ireland.

I only ever drink Guinness when I am out and about, and the best pint I have ever had was in the Gravity bar, atop the Guinness Museum in Dublin :)

But at home
