Were you buying cans or bottles? Decent ale in bottles very rarely has any fizz, most often the stuff that's served up in cans is the 'smoothflow' crap and is as bad as lager for the amount of chemicals and rubbish that's put in them.Mr Joshua said:I tried some real ales from Asda but the ones I got all seemed to have a fizz to them, I like beer smooth like draught bitter and Guinness.

Scuzi said:More recently I've found myself preferring the stout to the draught, maybe it's because the stout bottles are a constant over here whereas the draught is hit and miss, mostly miss.
The more I drink it, the more I prefer it to the draught, even when I go on my monthly trip back home.
