erm why is Guiness like benching arnold

I tried some real ales from Asda but the ones I got all seemed to have a fizz to them, I like beer smooth like draught bitter and Guinness.
I like Brown Ale too - anyone have any recommendations along those lines?

Were you buying cans or bottles? Decent ale in bottles very rarely has any fizz, most often the stuff that's served up in cans is the 'smoothflow' crap and is as bad as lager for the amount of chemicals and rubbish that's put in them.

K.

Guinness is good, ale is better and wheatbeer is my personal favourite. Impressed with the hoeggarden (sp?) golden cru i had last night. Just a shame I only bought the one and I'm now left with Krony Blanc and one other :(

More recently I've found myself preferring the stout to the draught, maybe it's because the stout bottles are a constant over here whereas the draught is hit and miss, mostly miss.
The more I drink it, the more I prefer it to the draught, even when I go on my monthly trip back home.

Mmm.

Result, just found a bottle of golden cru in the fridge :D

Gonna have to start drinking Guinness more often though, tend's to be paddy's night only thing at the mo.

The first and last time I had guiness was St Paddys day a couple of years back, got bought 4 pints of the stuff, after deciding it tasted like calories in a drink, I thought I might as well knock away the other 3 and get tipsy as they were free.

Used to take 6-7 pints to get me bladdered, had 4 and I was puking in a bush, its too thick and nasty tasting :(

That's convinced me, I'm going to crack open a bottle now. Anyone care to join me?

Oh yeah, the good malt will do my beer belly wonders, I'm sure if I pack away this 24 crate, I might lose a stone by tomorrow, its that good for me, wow :D
