Ok seem to have sorted the incompatibility and lag issue, was using 2 beta phase widgets.. pure messenger in scroll mode, so now only in list mode.. and 3d app display so no lag anymore

Is there any good MULTI line rss news widgets.. also any stocks/shares widgets? These are now the only 2 things I miss off sense..

With launcher pro over sense I can still get to sense apps through the app tray.. I'm thinking about rooting.. is this still possible if I root?

Yep, rooting won't stop you using anything sense wise. Just allows you to do more, like use custom Rom and certain apps.

ok think i will give it a go when i have some proper time free, like some of the rom screen shots ives seen about, the ones with the battery % in a circle look nice

also how do i go about getting icon packs/files.. ive seen launcher pros icon dock tray has an option for custom icons? do these need to be png?

when i was after icons, i just downloaded a load of icon packs from the market. used mybackup to backup just the icon packs onto my SD card. renamed the .apk's to .zip then unzipped them on my pc and put the ones i wanted into a folder on my sd card. then uninstalled the icon packs, so they didnt take up any memory.

much quicker than that if you've rooted ;)

LauncherPro Beta v0.6.5 released!

That’s right, dock notifications! Now you can quickly and easily see how many missed calls / unread SMS messages you have by just glancing at the dock.

Now, before I get a swarm of people asking about it, I AM looking into the possibility of Gmail and maybe Email notifications too (although the latter might prove a bit too complicated to implement).

Please note that for these notifications to work, you must either use the corresponding LauncherPro-style icon, or have the shortcut set for the stock phone/messaging app. It should work with other apps as long as you use the LauncherPro icon, and it should work with custom icons as long as you use the stock apps. Support for 3rd party apps with custom icons *might* come in the future but it’s not certain yet.

On a less interesting note, the new “Memory Usage Settings” have been moved into the Advanced Settings screen. This was done so that newcomers won’t be intimidated by all these options that most users don’t need to worry about.

Hope it's ok to post my own stuff, sorry if not.

I wrote two widgets that check your site or server to see if it's down or up, both are free. One checks a web page and uses the http response to decide if it's up. The other connects to a port you specify and decides if it's up if it can connect or not.

There is a few other options on both based around display text, colour, poll period and how many times it retries before giving up.

(If you do install it and have problems let me know :))

If they're free and you don't get any monetary benefit from advertising then you're golden :)
