Well on my facebook chat there will be loads of people I don't actually really like talking too and all my close friends already use WhatsApp...I used to use it on my BlackBerry :).
 
Anyone know how to get text messages to stop appearing twice (or to stop Android notification bar) when using Handcent?

You need to go in to the Messaging app and disable notifications, leave them turned on in Handcent :)
 
Not sure about this, but i added somebody a few days back. Originally i got their number wrong, put the '75' from the '075' in twice (their fault for reading it out like that! :p ) which was obviously too long, so i changed it straight away. Now though, i get texts from that wrong number for some reason, and i can't send any to it, only the right one.

Yeah, they need to fix this. When I seen this still happened on the new version I removed it instantly. Might as well just use touch.facebook.com instead.
 
anyone know how to stop all my contacts appearing twice? lol they are al linked with my gmail account so that it can sync which is great and my gmail account only has the correct number in, but then my phone ends up with two of everyone even if i tell it to only show those in the google account. I could understand it if it was showing me the ones on the sim and the google account.

I had this same problem even though I had it set to show only gmail contacts!!! :confused:

The only way round it for me was to delete the contacts from the sim!

Yeah I had to do this too when I was running a Desire ROM port. Bit of a pain because there's no way to copy them back onto the SIM in Android, unless there's an app that'll do it.
