Any recommendations for a wireless network manager. Ideally looking for something which can assign settings based on the network designation, much like the home/work/public network system in Win7, and allow/deny applications based on the designation.

Failing that something which will allow me to quickly connect/disconnect to networks without having to navigate to the settings pane as I've lost the default wifi program since rooting the phone.

Are there any decent apps out there to let me use my Desire as a webcam connected to my pc via bluetooth? That would be cool, but I don't know if such a thing exists?
anyone? I'm not having much luck with finding anything, there must be something!?

Does any one know what the App for controlling Samsung internet@tv's is called ? i had a quick play today on a SGS and it was really good, and will be cool to use at work for demos, but i dont remember the name.

I need a chuffing PDF viewer that allows me to bookmark pages in a book I am reading, I am currently reading some Stephen Hawking books and it's a pain scrolling to the last page each time!

I am using Adobe PDF viewer which is slick and nice and also Beamviewer but it sometimes corrupts pages and is only a trial unless you pay $3.99 for it.

eBook reading is very nice on the phone otherwise!

Have you tried searching for the book on Laptua? Much better than reading PDF's

Actually does anyone know of a program I can use that allows me to control/edit contacts on my PC and then sync it to my phone?

How about google contacts. I use it and then sync to my phone. Easier to edit your contacts on there than on the phone

Wow, this thread is HUGE! I did try searching, but couldn't find what I'm looking for... I have a Samsung Galaxy S and would love to have the same sort of discrete ringer as a lot of the HTCs - you know, to silence the ringtone you just turn the phone upside down, etc. Anyone know if there's an app or setting for this that I've not found? Thanks in advance!

Look at your phone manufacturer web site, they almost all have usb sync programs for backing up and editing contacts.

+1 for Google contacts though, It's ideal for managing and keeping them up to date along with email and home addresses. Once you find your phone sync utility, try exporting all your contacts to CSV, with a bit of column title editing you can then import them all into your Google Contacts.

Gmail contact sync is one of my favorite Android features.

Look on thier website. The other versions got taken off the market by google. Check which CPU you have V6/V6+vfp/v7 and then download the best version, as it'll try and make better use of the CPU that way.

I'll have a look for that. Seen that the cpu is ARM-V6 - compatible processor rev 2 (v6l) so prob the first version rather than the v6+vfp you listed. Thanks :)
