Sounds similar to the problem I had with the custom notifications via handcent when I first installed it - turn off your 'stock' notifications completely and just use settings profile to set the notifications and see how that works out for ya

Theres plenty of clocks, i've used and liked TypoClock, Simi Clock, Digital Clock Wigit.

Snowstorm is a decent weather wigit

I've tried Handcent for a while, but just couldn't get it looking "right". I like the layout of conversation bubbles, but I could never get a colour scheme I liked.

Go SMS looks more polished out the box, but that's about it Lacks a lot of features that Handcent has.

IMO Handcent is the most professional once customised but I will give Go another try.

My Handcent looks more pro than most messaging apps (in Apple's).

Go SMS is not missing any of the features I need, but then I only send about 5 text messages a week!!

I'm a fan of subtle colours and on the AMOLED screen this looks great

It's gonna be a ball ache copy pasting all the settings as there are so many :S

Maybe another way...hmmmm!

Although I am due to change this scheme for a black one to match my Oxygen ROM

Thanks, it does look good. Is there a way to change the colour scheme of the header bar? Last time I looked, there was only 3 depending on which theme you modified.

Doesn't look like it, only the 3 presets although there is a custom option which takes you to Market and then cannot find the item - Maybe not live yet?

Handcent allows you to backup and restore settings via their online system for free, all done via the phone too
