im a vplayer man now, just prefer it, hardly really watch that much, will be more important when i get hold of a tablet/slate with honeycomb as one of my primary functions will be watching films at the gym ! (while on the cross trainer)

Just make sure you dont update it, as the guy who made it has gone from 'Free forever' to 'Free Trial'.

QQPlayer seems interesting as a replacement project. It won't play some videos I have with FLAC audio (even slowly) but theres a video or two I've thrown at it that it plays the audio properly when others don't.

The autoselecting the appropriate decoder per video is a nice feature too.

Is there anyway or app to force android in keeping the music player open and not auto closing it. So later on in the day I can resume my random play from where i left off earlier?

this is all on standard music player

Thanks

Hi, if not, just use another player like PowerAmp or WinAmp. These both do this (retain the song position).

This is what I use:

http://www.appbrain.com/app/phoneusage/com.jupiterapps.phoneusage

It's free to use but you can unlock alerts for when you are approaching your limits for a small amount I think.

Once you've installed it you just click on the data tab and scroll to the bottom and it will show you a pie chart of the apps that are using the most data. Very useful and looks nice too I think.
Looks nice, unfortunately i cant confirm the validity of your claim with this app for a few days. lol.

Does it differentiate between WiFi and 3g?

Use the widget.

Anyone use an app to access the pc remotely? Would prefer something free and easy to configure that works on stock HTC rom (2.2).

i always thought it did keep the last place you were listening to. are you pressing stop rather then pause or perhaps using a task killer?

If your out and about and you need to remote on... TeamViewer have a free beta app, not on the market but you can download it from their site :)

http://www.teamviewer.com/download/mobile.aspx

Thanks :) I'll download it and have a play.

-edit- installed and seems to work very well. Certainly much better than trying to use logmein via the web browser although I've not tried ignition.

I've just tested it myself and it seems a lot better than Logmein Ignition plus it's going to be free for non-comercial use :)

I'll see how I get on over 3G later today and compare speeds against Ignition

Google Checkout.

Catch is really nice, has the core features of colournote but lacks some of the more unique features such as individual note locking although app pincode lock is fine I guess and adding new note sis easier via the widget.

It's also nice that when password protected Catch will put the reminder in the noti tray and ask for the pin when clicked instead of displaying the reminder for all to see, which is nice.
