Essential Android Apps

My major gripe with Firefox is that you have to click into the address bar to bring up the option to click on to see your Bookmarks. I don't get why it isn't an option in the menu.

Firefox app has some horrible write ups so far, apparently it's crashing left right and centre and a few people are claiming it's damaged their SD card!

I'm trying to find N64oid, has it been pulled from the Android Market?

The dev has removed it from the market because of complaints.

Found this post on the XDA Developers forum
I emailed the dev and this was his response
A great number of users are complaining about the compatibility and running performance. Considering the bad ratings, I temporarily unpublished it. I am doing a rewrite of some of the core modules. Don't worry, N64oid will be back much better in 1-2 months.

Thanks for the understanding! I won't let people down

There is an AV Forums app that came out recently (today I think).

I much prefer these kinds of apps than using the browser to look at forums. Just hope OcUK join the wagon.

Also there is an awesome weather widget app called AIX weather, its free and on the widget it has a graph which updates what the temperature will be throughout the day in 2 hour intervals.

Guys, ABRio is still showing as free on the amazon market... It should be ok to keep it hosted for UK uses as long as it's still free on there, right?

Technically it's region locked (as in, you have to be living in America to have the option to purchase it) so it's a bit cloudy to be honest. It's not hard to find in all honesty, google shows it up pretty easily.

Has anybody tried GO SMS?

It's a really good alternative to Handcent, I'd give it a whirl.

Really nice GUI, almost like the MIUI ROMs.
I found Handcent to look quite dated.

I use GoSMS, i've found it the best by far.

It offers more customisable options than handcent and it updated at least every two weeks, with the developer really taking on board the comments made by people in his thread on XDA forums.
