Google Tracks or RunKeeper for sporting

There are a few car trackers available, search the market :)

Just downloaded 'Wheres The Train'. Seems easier to use than Train Times UK, and gives live info on expected departures and platform info just by typing your destination and station you're leaving from. It also saves your previous searches in a list on the home screen that you can simply select from and use again.

For Train Times UK you have to select the rail company first, then find the station. I think Wheres The train is a bit more streamlined and less clunky (and has no adds).

/goes shopping for more apps...

Might be a stupid question, but how do you get street view working in Google Navigation? I can only see satellite view or traffic view?

Are there any good SMS backup apps? I have one which is actually called SMS Backup, but I want the sms messages to be saved on the SD card and in order as they are on the phone.

Eww I loathe anything music/sound effects for ringtones/notification tones wise!

I've never had any problems with Google Checkout. Why do you say it pants?
For one, they don't support maestro anymore and it's nowhere near as popular as Paypal, would be nice to have a few £ left over in my paypal account, as often happens and be able to spend it on my android.

Not to mention that paypal is an extremely flexible online money management system where google checkout is just basically a checkout service.

Yeah, I tried to use it the other day with my Visa debit card, and it wouldn't have it at all. Had to use a credit card in the end.

I'm somewhat surprised PayPal isn't already in place there.

The go to your bank and ask them to switch the maestro for a visa debit...maestro is so damn last yr...breathed a big sigh of relief when my bank got rid of the damned cards.

Ermmm my visa debit works perfectly fine with google checkout:confused:

I kept getting an error message, something like 'There is an error with your card details' or something. I tried several times, and inputted everything from scratch each time to no avail. I'm pretty sure I got everything correct. Strange it didn't seem to like it.

I then used my Mastercard, and it went through first time.
