is there an app or even just a way to see what is using wifi/data connection on android? something is draining the battery when i got connection and would like to know what but can't see what it could be

I used to be able to use a widget to turn my APN on and off. But now it does not work And quick settings sends me to the settings menu to tick the squares to turn mobile data on.

How can I get this back, Im with voda contract by the way.

SwitchPro works well for that.

APN as in turn data on and off?

Just long press the power button and turn data off via the "Data Network Mode" switch.

The latest GoLauncher update has a new feature where if you're in an app and press home it will return to the app tray instead of going straight to the home screen and a 2nd press returns home.

I like this feature!

Has anyone else been getting problems with the latest update of widget locker or Go Launcher? When I press the home button I keep getting with dialogue to choose my launcher, even though I set GO as my default.

Yeah I'm getting this. Updated yesterday and has been playing up ever since.

Fixed it. Instead of choosing GoLauncher as my default home, I chose Widget Launcher home helper or whatever it was..

Anybody having issued with the new marketplace offering the same updates over and over again. Get offered an update, accept it, update app. Lo and behold a day or two later or sometimes longer the same update appears again, accept it, update app etc. etc.
Getting really annoying.

Is there an app or a way to let me connect to my phone (Desire) over wifi to transfer files to my PC? At the moment I do it via ES File Explorer but you have to transfer it yourself on the phone. I'd like to be able to explore my phone's SD from my PC. Makes copy/pasting a lot easier! :confused:

Samba Filesharing is awesome (needs root tho) basically turns your SD card into a network share/NAS.

What Im trying to say is no app works (the long press on the power button does).

Yes. Seems to be since the latest update. A reboot seems to have temporarily cured it.
