Is there a way of getting whatsapp messenger to run on a tablet?

I tried to install it on my hp touchpad and it says tablets aren't supported :(

Don't think so because it needs a phone number to register it. Think it sends a text to do that

I've read about people backing up and putting onto tablets with TB, but it often ends up not working too well...

The restoring backup method is the only way to get it working on a tablet, but then it will stop working on your phone as you can only be connected from one device.

BTW, is the guy "1985420" some kind of Android App promoter. 3 Posts and all promoting the Google Play Store. Not a complaint as he as brought to attention some decent stuff... Just an observation.

Haha no :p I've been reading this forum for quite a while and decided to join up a couple of weeks ago. I'll be posting in other sections of the forum too! ;) I've been using this thread for recommendations on what to put on my S3.

If he is maybe he call tell us how long the sale is lasting...I've only just discovered it on day 4. :(

What time of day do they change?
It seems to have been updating around 8pm.

"1985420" is Eric Schmidt - he said the sale is a 5 day event.
No i didn't, that was somebody else! :p I have no idea how long the sale is going on for..

Been using Firefox BETA for the last day more than before and quite enjoying it, scrolling is bouncy and smooth and the one feature I really like is being able to send pages to my desktop Firefox via Sync without the need for additional add-ons.

I'm going to use it as my main browser for now and keep Boat as backup.

Also tried the FF beta out and I do quite like it myself but the font issues, where some text is massive and other text is tiny and due to this double tap to zoom doesn't quite work like it does on other browsers and lack of options puts me off for now as well as the UI.

What do you think of xscope? If you haven't used the newest version, I think you might like it a lot ;)

Currently back on quick ics though, missed quick thumb controls too much :p

Double tap works if you install the extension TapTapWrap which zooms to text you double tap on and wraps paragraphs to fit the width, quite neat!

Will check XScope out too.

I've been ummming and ahhing about browsers recently. Was a toss-up for me between Dolphin HD and Firefox.

Dolphin HD is the better browser in most ways, I think - it's faster for me, seems to handle text-wrapping better for portrait orientation with zoom, hides the tab/address bar by default, and has a more mature add-on portfolio.

Firefox has the better management of new tabs and a better predictive search set up I think, but it is slower in my experience, and you can't hide the address bar without an add-on that just completely removes it whilst it's running.

However, the awesome sync capabilities of FF swing it for me. I love just being able to hit sync on my desktop and get up and go to work knowing that I can pick up all my open tabs on my tablet on the train (and also bookmark syncing and sending pages from tablet/phone to PC).

I've (somewhat hesitantly) uninstalled Dolphin, and set FF as my default browser. Just wish it was a bit snappier...

Is the Beta any quicker/better than the regular app?

I've not used the non BETA FF but the BETA has seen no slowness issues for me. very smooth and very quick loading pages and transitioning between sections of the browser :)

Oh! Will give it another try then, thanks :)

The only annoying thing about xscope is that the adblock feature doesn't work (but then again no other browser has adblock feature apart from firefox :p) and there is no setting to show the page in full overview when it loads the website for you, instead zooms in automatically and doesn't resize the text either, you have to double tap or pinch to zoom in order for it to that. The UI and features are very nice though.
