Have you guys tried firefox since the v 17 update? Apparently is a big improvement and works great with flash.

Using Firefox on my s3 and trying to reply on this forum is a nightmare
Won't let me backspace just keeps trying to insert predictive suggestions

Does anyone use their nexus 7 to make phone calls? Ive seen a few vid on how to do in in the US but nothing for the UK. Is it possible? Im guessing i need an app.

I use chrome mainly because of chrome on our other machines, the bookmarks/history syncs perfectly. Only thing i dont like about it is no history button.

I've started using Chrome and finding it not too bad. If you type chrome://history: this takes you to your history. Bookmark the page and you are good to go next time. Ignore if you were aware of this :D

Can i download skype and make free phone calls from that? As simple as that?

Provided you have a reasonable data connection, sure. You need to buy Skype credit to call physical phone though, it's free from Skype to Skype.

Can't help but think I missed some sarcasm though... :/

No, no sarcasm. I saw a youtube vid of some guy using google voice account linked to his gmail account. He was able to use his nexus 7 to make phone calls with no cost. I know a nexus 7 is far too big to use as a mobile phone, but it would be handy.

You can hide them, but I don't think you can remove them completely unfortunately, which is what a lot of us would like to be able to do.
