I got the HD Widgets set last night. Does anyone know which of the 3 weather providers are most accurate for the UK?
 
I find the one used for snowstorm to be extremely accurate compared to everything else, it is yr.no


Have been trying widget locker lock screen out for the first time in a year and it is much better, easier and less complicated ui/options, doesn't hog ram and doesn't seem to use much battery life.

Got a nice clean stock android lock screen now :cool:
 
I use widgetlocker too, I think it's great - however, I wish it had the CM style lockscreen, with 5 shortcuts around the top of the ring, not just the 4 shortcuts at NESW... Continued support for it seems limited as Kevin seems to be too busy with Nova to worry about WL

I have an issue with it where sometimes my lockscreen is transparent and I can see my homescreen widgets and icons through the lockscreen - really quite annoying lol

Anyone else ever get that?

Only thing I've changed leading up to it starting to do this is the kernel - gone from Siyah 1.8 to Yank555.lu v2.7a

Could a kernel change cause a single app to malfunction in such a strange way?
 
Hmm, haven't encountered that issue yet. Maybe it is being killed in the background and having to reload? IIRC there is an option to keep it in memory, I don't have that option enabled as I hate having icons like that in the notification bar/tray :p

Not sure if that is the problem, but if that issue has only started happening since doing that kernel change then it possibly is the root of the problem. Don't kernels contain the memory/RAM/multi-tasking settings?

I use widgetlocker and I have 5 shortcuts around the ring, in the positions W NW N NE E.

Holo locker is a pretty good lock screen app, pretty much stock android but with some nice tweaks. However, when unlocking the screen it showed the stock sense lockscreen for a second, so will stick with widgetlocker for the time being :p

And holo launcher HD is very nice too, similar to apex and nova and I actually think it is smoother than both, but not as many features overall.
