I have AdAway installed as I have for months and months, yet I have some massively irritating ads appearing on GSMArena mobile site that take up half the bleeding screen in landscape orientation. Is it just me getting this?

Is anyone here using the Inverted Google Apps you can get hold of from XDA?
For those of you that dont know what they are, the are just flipped so they are dark themed.

I've stopped using them and left all my Google apps as default as i think Google's new UI looks great and because i cant be bothered updating them everytime a new version comes out. Too much headache.

I dont think the Google version looks that bad to be honest.
Im not keen on that "Blue" anymore. Its kind of old.

Two questions guys..

My Samsung Tab 2 has just updated to 4.2.2 (woohoo) so I've been having all sorts of fun with dash clock and lock screen widgets. But they only seem to show when I have no security in the lock screen. Is this right? As soon as I turn the lock pattern back on I'm stuck with the crappy clock and nothing else? Also, the notifications bar is now white. Yuck, presumably a Samsung thing? I'm not rooted..

Aaaand, loving Google Music with All Access, but I still can't believe you can't download/cache tracks to the SD card. Have Google ever responded to this? I've got a 32gb card being wasted on my Tab

One of the Wifi connections I use requires you to login to a webpage after connection and after a set time of inactivity. Is there an app that will monitor the connection and do this automatically on connection? The password and username are static.

If your phone has enough grunt and for those that don't already know:

Under look and feel, stick scroll and animation speed to Nova.

Then in system setting, dev options - set the windows animation scale to 0.5x.

The phone now feels super fast and snappy when transitioning. The GS4 has the grunt for it all to stay fast and smooth.

While you in dev options, enable GPU rendering too.

Yep, that's correct for dash clock I'm afraid, you should be able to touch the clock and drag down to reveal the other stuff, but you will always have the security thing in the way otherwise.

Exactly what I have been using on my 1S! without a doubt the best settings for performance and still being able to notice the awesome animations :cool:

I find 1x animation speed and stock speed smoothest. Setting it to 0.5 or "Nova" the whole phone feels like it's being forced to animate fast and loses that visual fluidity.

Anyone know of an app that can make the screen stay on when using google maps? Its very frustrating to be following directions only for the screen to turn off and the gps signal to be lost.

I've tried a couple of apps after randomly searching the play store but as yet i haven't found one that actually works.

If your losing fluidity, then your phone just can't hack it
