Anyone got a decent alarm clock? One that will wake the phone from being turned off? Or does anyone know how to get the standard one with the phone to wake? I cant see any option to do the above which is turd quite frankly!

LauncherPro update out on 0.5.2

* Support for scrollable widgets like Pure Messenger.
* Option to disable wallpaper scrolling. This will keep your wallpaper centered at all times.
* New icon “glow” highlights. When you press/select an icon on a homescreen or the app drawer, they will show a glow around the icon instead of the usual yellow/orange box. You can disable this in the preferences.
* Option for high quality scrolling. This will keep your icon and widget graphics in high quality while scrolling. Be warned this will reduce scrolling smoothness though.
* Option to set minimum scrolling speed. The homescreen scrolling speed depends on how fast you swipe your finger. This will let you set a minimum speed, so that even if you swipe your finger slowly, LauncherPro will scroll *at least* as fast as your minimum scrolling speed.
* Option to set screen previews opening speed. Lets you tweak the speed of the screen previews opening/closing animation effect.
* Option to have 2 homescreens. You can now choose from 2 to 7.
* Made the background of open folders translucent. Also fixed a small visual glitch in open folders’ header graphic.
* New LauncherPro style icons for Maps, Navigation, Twitter and Facebook.

So much win!

Is this for android version 2.1 and above?

Anyone know how to use your own icons for apps? I fancy redesigning those I use on the homescreens.

Only app I know of is Better Cut. Lets you define your own icons for shortcuts on the homescreens. It lets you pick from any images in your media gallery, or any icon packs that are installed.

You might also want Icon Searcher as well, which searches www.iconfinder.com & displays ones related to your search keyword.

I don't think there is an alarm available that will turn the phone on from being switched off, I can't remember any phone I've had doing that.

Technically 2.0 or above.

What on earth does this mean?

trying it now on a tds clip - perfect!

again though, is that a divx product? or someone elses?

also, how the hell did google decide that divx/xvid isn't important?

next hopefully we'll get mkv support

Yeah, I really don't understand the issues here. Is it because they'd need to officially licence DivX? Why can't they just build it open source and use XviD? The new Samsung Android phone has DivX support built in.

rock player beta, i can confirm, it plays back xvid/divx files even with ac3 audio. Nice (ok its back in stereo of course, and a little quiet). I assume it will drink the battery more than mp4 videos files, find out when i watch a film right through.

SoundHound got released today on the Market it's like Shazam but has more features

Been testing both.

Shazam is getting more hits than soundhound is. I used spotify to try catch them out. Shazam got every song correct while soundhound didnt get a few and also missed out album art on others.

Shazam is free, think ill stay with that.
