Has anybody got any suggestions as to where I can find ADW launcher? - daft question I know, im running android 1.6 OS, so I'm aware launcherpro isn't compatible, however ADW Launcher is meant to be, it doesnt appear when I search for it in marketplace, I've recently updated from 1.5 to 1.6.
Help please??

OK guys, important stupid question

I'm browsing app brain on my pc and when I search for the same app on the phone, its not showing up the market place?

Does app brain store any apps or just link to the real market place?

For example, the official twitter app and phd comic viewer app can't be downloaded from the marketplace on the phone anymore???

Any ideas? Also stuff like angry birds lite beta isn't showing up

looking for suggestions of a good document viewer, primarily for editing excel files. i've seen quickoffice which seems good but would like to know if any better alternatives. doesn't have to be free but always preferred

anyone found a way to get google docs (specifically spreadsheets) working within 2.2? tried it a min ago via docs.google.com and it was pretty much unusable

Tried using it when i had my hero and didnt get on with it.
Might be better with a stock ROM but with sense and touchwiz its not much use. Just a different way of doing search.

yeah just been playing around with it, and it does not seem to work to well with my fat fingers :D

Car drivers out there should check out Speedview, it's Mytracks but with a Odometer GUI and HUD mode too (reflects the HUD on to the windscreen at night for OLED phone users!).

Here's the HUD:

And you can log and export as .gpx and then import that into Google Earth to save as tracks like so:

And then in GE you can do various funky stuff like view the animation, view individual points and so on.

Very nice!

HTC Desire

Shazam for music identification, i have the encore edition so it searches out videos and stuff as well.
Google Sky Map just because it's cool
AppMonster for managing my apps
Astro file manager
Barcode scanner for QR Codes
TasKiller for killing tasks
Xtralogic remote deskop client
Navigon navigation with full europe maps (best phone based sat nav I have ever used. my wife has co-pilot on her desire and although it has more features I just think navigon is more polished)

i fail to see the need for these TasKillers, they end up cocking up my alrams and other services. i don't trust em and prefer to let android handle it all
