Two of PopCap’s titles, Chuzzle and the iconic smash-hit Plants vs Zombies, have been confirmed as heading to Android from the end of May, exclusively through the Amazon Appstore.

Both Chuzzle and Plants vs Zombies have appeared on pretty much every other platform you can think of, but their eventual appearance on Android is a welcome sight.

Chuzzle, a furry match-three game, will be available from tomorrow until May 30th, while Plants vs Zombies will begin its two-week stint on May 31st.

Sounds like fun, but so far as I can see the Amazon Appstore is still not avialable here in the UK. :(

Guys,

Both the Missus and Me are new to this 'Android' and all its 'Apps' milarky... I've an Xperia Arc, and the missus (as of yesterday) has a Galaxy Ace!..

After I set up her phone for her (using some of the pearls of wisdom from here), she asked me if there was an app like the one I had on my Blackberry that put the phone into 'slient' mode, except for the Phone ringer (so all other notifications are silent) between cirtain hours of the night!!??..

Basically she has friends over in the States, and Carribean that would be 'Farcebooking' her at silly hours of (for us) the night... We don't want the phone buzzing and dinging at all hours!! But she still needs the phone to be able to ring as she's a 'stand-by' Ambulance crew!..

Any help or recomendations would be great!..

What is Launcher Pro for? Do I need it?

Launcher Pro is a homescreen replacement, it will basically replace most of Touchwiz, so you can customise your homescreen/dock much more than you can with stock.

Does anyone know of a toggle widget that works for the data connection with Android 2.3? Since my DHD updated Switch Pro's data toggle doesn't work.

There's an app called Tasker that can do all sorts of automation based on Time, Location and various other criteria.

I have mine set to silent between 00:00 and 06:00, and it goes into vibrate mode when I'm in the office and then when I get home it comes out of vibrate and turns on my wifi :)

There are a few [free] apps that will automate just the ringer based on time, and might be easier to setup for you. But tasker has more options if you want/need them.

Hi guys,
I downloaded a trial of quickoffice on my HTC Legend and i want to remove it. I have uninstalled it through applications-manage applications but its still there on my home screen and when i go into menu..

http://www.appbrain.com/app/foxyring:-smart-ringtone/com.levelup.foxyring looks like it could do it.

or semisilent https://market.android.com/details?id=com.lyote.SemiSilent

Define "dodgy"? I'm going by ratings and comments on Android Market and also doing research before downloading re: privacy concerns etc...

I personally don't bother with antivirus software, the one large Android virus/malware was not detected by any of the antivirus software.
Google remotely removed it from peoples phones and pushed out an app to cleanly remove any leftovers.

Only get your apps from the Android market, or places like XDA forum, check permissions before you install and you'll be safer than blindly relying on antivirus software as many people probably do.

If you want privacy, get droidwall and adfree. A lot of adverts send your GPS or coarse location to the ad provider.
