Does anyone know of a program like Samba Filesharing, that can access the root of my phone?

I want to restore my Drag Racing save/rank/settings from a failed TAR backup manually but there's quite a lot of files to move around and doing them one by one in ES File Explorer will just do my head in lol

Is there anything out there like that that'll let me browse the phone root so I can just drag'n'drop them into place? :)

Thanks in advance.

I use SwiFTP for this, turns your phone into an FTP server you can access from a desktop ftp client.

I did download SwiFTP before, but I wasn't trying to access the root then - and Samba was just so much easier!

Will give it another go :)

Thanks man

Got SwiFTP on the go earlier on, but while it will let me see the root directory, it won't let me access /data

Do I have to somehow mount /data before it can access it? or is it just not working properly on my phone?

Also, I found File Expert which lets you move/copy multiple files at a time (not sure if others would've let me do this as I hadn't really tried lol)

Nice clean interface, smooth UI, I quite like this one - think it'll take over from ES as my file manager of choice :)

I'm going to give this a try, looks interesting.

Im using it on my SanFran, seems slightly choppy, but the UI is unique and i havent seen an app like it before :D the pre-installed apps it has like the calendar etc are very sense like, and the animated clock which when the weather part is pressed, a little pocket comes down and shows the upcoming forcasts.

I'd recommend a faster phone than a SanFran to use it on as it is slightly slow, but thats because of the phone, not the app :)

I tried it out and it's pretty and swish, no bugs or anything but it's very basic in terms of features. no app drawer folders like GoLauncher is the biggest downer for me and no homescreen gestures or dock gestures/customisations either.

GoLauncher EX remains the king.

I pretty much agree with this, with more features it will be better.

It's not bad at all though.

Mhmmm, i just liked the whole animated interface, and the unique UI, aside sense etc.

Thats also the one thing that baffled me was no customisable dock, as i like my messaging and email to be docked with app drawer button :)

Guess ill stick to launcher pro on my sanfran for now :D
