Anybody got any recommendations for a calendar app. I was using the go calendar widget which was excelent, but I stopped using go launcher as it was slowing my phone down too much.

1000th post - woot!
 
Hi folks.

Recently upgraded from an HTC Desire running MIUI to a new HTC One X.

However I miss the pull down notification bar control toggles that you got as standard with MIUI that allowed you to adjust brightness, wifi, volume etc and would like it back on the stock One X.

Anyone know of an app that does this kind of thing??

BS player lite still lags when trying to play 1080/720 MKV content via streaming, yet if I place it on my mobile internal storage it plays perfectly fine and super smooth.

Any idea what is wrong? Do I need to set something up on my PC or change some settings?

Is there a good way/app for backing up your entire phone like how you can image a hard drive? want to be able to restore the phone as it was near exactl y.
 
Please tell me you can revert back to an older version of MX player? Whilst I like the enhanced audio in the new update I DO NOT like the lack of ability to play most of my 720p videos in HW mode. Why would they do this in an update?

I don't think there's anything on your PC to set up really. My router has a WiFi media streaming mode enabled by default under QOS):

Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM) Settings

WMM (Wireless Multimedia) is a subset of the 802.11e standard. WMM allows wireless traffic to have a range of priorities, depending on the kind of data. Time-dependent information, like video or audio, has a higher priority than normal traffic. For WMM to function correctly, wireless clients must also support WMM.

that will be ROM mods i dont think you can do that with an app.. i might be wrong tho!
 
One of my favorite apps is Viber, it is for Android, iOS, Blackberry etc.
Basically its VOIP so you can make free calls like skype, Viber is special however because you user id is actually your phone number. So when you install the app all of contacts to already use the app will appear in your viber contact list.
But here's the thing: If you want to call a friend who has viber installed you can ring them through viber and it will try to establish a connection. If a connection could not be made then you can ring them as normal.
