So true. I've been happily using Swiftkey for quite a while, but Swype just 'seems' better. It's hard to put your finger on :p. Definitely worth a try for those who love Swiftkey.
 
Understood,I have no plans to return to chrome till they sort out the display issues for me they make Android browsing to painful. Not looked properly at opera to see if it supports some of those features. I don't use the chrome ones as it is.
 
From SwiftKey or Swype, I keep going back to stock 4.2.

Hmm... for me it seems to lag sometimes (Galaxy Nexus) between letters which is the main disappointment.
 
Thought I would give google now another go and have to say I really like it, it is sort of like an all in one app, kind of reminds me of Jarvis from Iron Man :p Have uninstalled eye in the sky and could probably uninstall a few other apps too i.e. tasks free/reminder, since this pretty much carries out those sort of tasks easily and quickly :)

I'll just put up with the extra battery drain for the time being :p

And yup, 4.2 keyboard for me still, largely due to the colour scheme/UI.

adblock plus update:

If you already have Adblock Plus for Android, it should notify you about the update shortly and download it automatically.

This release temporarily disables the element hiding functionality of Adblock Plus to reduce the memory footprint. Blocking functionality isn’t affected and the overall effect should be limited — some websites will have empty spots where ads were blocked and some text ads won’t be hidden. The element hiding functionality will be enabled again once we manage to either get the size of filter lists down or make their in-memory representation more compact.

Just tried it out and it seems to run a bit better now, haven't encountered any problems with the youtube app and comments not showing etc.
 
I have my gmail account synced to my ipad, if I then sync it to the gmail app on android and then open a new email will the email still appear on my ipad ? As I want to be able to view all my emails on both devices.
 
as tragic as this sounds, i can't get 4.2 keyboard to work on my hos :confused:

i've disabled swiftkey/swype but it only gives me the ****** default kb

E: sorted it, I disabled notifications so couldn't change it. Derp

I'm looking for an app that can automatically update my contacts pictures based on their facebook profile picture.

There used to be an app years ago which did exactly this when I was using android last. I've tried a couple but they all seem to want to download facebook contact info and duplicate my contacts. All I want updated is their pictures!
