The best browser is the one that syncs both ways fully with your desktop one.

For me, that's Firefox.

Closest browser I'd say to the Sense one is the AOSP browser. Probably my favorite browser to be fair. Chrome got deleted fully & I used this to install it to my One.

^^^ Quick ICS lets you customise the thumb controls so that makes it better than AOSP for me.

Yeah the AOSP based browser is really nice (sense is based on it). I did use quick ics originally due to being able modify the quick controls, cleaner ui etc. but ever since the JB/sense V4+ update, text reflow has been broken

Personally I really like how the quick thumb controls work with the sense browser now, so when you hover over one it opens a sub menu related to that "thumb control" and provides more controls i.e.

Would still like to be able to modify them though!

Those are cringeworthy though, tones and notifications where a voice tells you stuff like "sir you have a message".

We're on about tts for navigation etc!

You can still cache maps but its a ghetto method.

Firstly have on screen the area of the map you wish to cache. Then in the search bar type "ok maps" and press enter. It will then preload the map area.

EDIT: Or if you click search and scroll down there is an offline option at the bottom.

If anyone has a spare 10 minutes, you should check out the XPrivacy module for Xposed (root required).

It lets you revoke permissions on a per app basis.

Both I guess. You could probably save battery by preventing apps from accessing location. It's more of a privacy thing though, you'd be surprised how many games want access to your contacts and account information.

There's a pro version that lets you import/export your settings. I'm wondering if I could just back it up with TitaniumBackup though?

Thanks, I'll have a read of that thread later. I'm not too concerned with privacy but if it's easy to use I'll have a go.

and worse than that as well. there's a lot out there that want access to modify your contacts list, read your message logs etc. I'm not that worried about privacy but I have no reason to let any game read my contacts and messages, let alone give them access to edit and change them at will.
