Anyone recommend a good replacement for People that is minimal and doesn't have placeholders for pictures? I want a good old fashioned list of names and numbers, without any photos at all.

If there's a way to get rid of photos in Textra's conversation list too, then that would be great!

Cheers.

exdialer - it's got a fair few options and is themeable.

secure mode toggle?

one thing I'm missing from my old S3 was the ability to toggle secure mode from the drop down notification menu - it was rooted but I'm wondering if theres any app out there that does this via a widget? have had a hunt on google play but no luck yet.

It was initially tablet only, but it seems due to the backlash they have started to make it mobile compatible. Today's update:

So have a check to see if you can install it on youe HOX now ;).

Cheers mate, got it now! Bit of a let down I must admit compared to the original (clone vehicles tool would have been nice for instance), but I'm sure I could lose time on it quite easily.

Also bought the Humble Mobile Bundle 2, absolutely loving some of the games on there. Star Command has quickly found a place in my heart, and Karateka is nails! Half the time I end up mashing buttons :(

Downloaded it this morning, but it's almost exactly the same as Jungle Heat which I've had on my phone for ages.

Oh yeah, it is very much the same. But with CoC having been around the longest, it is a more polished and balanced game I find.

There's a 107MB TTS UK HD voice pack out for Samsung TTS, may be good for those on Samsung phones. Get it via Samsung Apps store. I use Ivona but am gonna give this a go as it seems good.

Clash of Clans was released for Android today after spending its entire life to date as an iOS exclusive. Awesome little game.

Not sure how irritated I should be by this, they started they wouldn't release on android and then jungle heat starts to gain momentum and suddenly coc appears on android. Anyway good news :-)

Is there a way to list out and save (off the device) all the apps, wallpapers, themes etc I have installed?

I'm going to format my tablet and don't want to restore everything I have installed, but I don't want to forget what I did have installed should I want it back.

Basically I want a clean slate, but to avoid the searching for things if I want them back.

Titanium Backup if your rooted? but if you have your device linked to your gmail account then you can automatically restore them after that

I tried this. Its better than what it was but still not as good as Ivona. Try the Sky news app - reading the articles, Ivona pronounces better.
