but he has a point. the lock screen showing apps is no different to the homescreen showing apps. no additional tasks can be done from a lock screen or homescreen so why have one

but that's only one of the functions the app does? there's a lot more to it and the fact that it "knows" when you're at home, sleeping, work etc is the "BIG" deal here not the fact that you have some app short cuts on your lockscreen.

Those that are on Dead Trigger 2, there's a mod to enable Tegra 4 graphics. Ive tried it on my S4 and it works. You may lose your saved game though. Needs rooted device.

More info...

The graphics are shinier (more eye candy). Im guessing you will still get updates but make a copy of the original file to be safe.

I was trying to get more screen shots but its not that easy :o

One of the more recent Firefox updates appears to have added a content aware context menu for when you long press links so if you long pressed a YouTube link it will give the option of loading it in YouTube app:

I realised yesterday when browsing a page and it had a reddit link and Firefox gave the option of opening it with the BaconReader (the best reddit app!).

Negative!

Used Reddit Sync before and much prefer Bacon Reader especially with dark theme.

What keyboard are people using these days, I've found myself going back to Swiftkey, Last time i used it i didn't like it at all, Seems much better now, has it changed that much in a few months!?

I'm using Samsung Keyboard that comes with the Note 3 even though I'm a long time SwiftKey and Swype as well as Google Keyboard user. I like how fast it adapts to my typing style and corrects errors. Also the permanently active number row is convenient.

It's much better than it feels on other Samsung phones. Slight layout differences too.

Can anyone recommend me a keyboard that either is the same or similar to either the HTC keypad or ideally the Xperia T keypad setup?? (I say "keypad" as my fat fingers don't get on with the qwerty-type setups and so I tend to simply use the old style T9 predictive text input!)

I'm in the process of using a non-rooted SGS2 running android 4.1.2.

I've tried Googling for an Xperia keyboard apk but the one I found installs fine but then freezes up when you go to use it!

Anyone got any suggestions that I could try??

Many keyboards have themes so you can apply a HTC style theme which makes it look/feel like the HTC keyboard.

Is your S2 on ICS? If so you could also just install the HTC keyboard itself.

Thanks for the link but my O/S version is 4.1.2 which I think is JB.

I've tried a few, some of which don't even seem to have a "keypad" option but "Smart Keyboard" is looking the favourite so far!

Still Google keyboard for me, I haven't found another that looks as nice & work as well as it to be honest.
