Essential iPhone Apps

How heavy is TuneIn radio on data usage? e.g how much would it use if you listened to it for around 45 minutes?

Any recommendations regards to whats good in the sales? Ive got a load of apps/games but happy to add to them (got a large majority of the Top 25 already) - just so much on offer so not sure whats really worth getting and whats something thats throwaway. Normally I just ignore everything under 3.5stars but sometimes thats wrong...

That depends on the quality of the stream in question.

Before you select the feed you want to listen to, you’ll notice a little orange badge with a number. This signifies the streaming rate, which is a proxy for quality. For example, a 48 stream is 48 kbps, or about 6 kilobytes per second.

In terms of data, if you spent 30 minutes listening to a 128 kbps stream on the way to work, you’d be consuming about 11MB of data.

I think you've missed the boat for most of the sales? As far as I knew they were almost all ending yesterday (29th)

Aw well no matter - Ive got plenty of stuff untouched (a page of folders worth of games)

Any recommendations coming out of the sale? Im sure something now worth more than its sale price is still worth it :D

Street Fighter IV is simply awesome. It's the first time I have spent £3.99 on an app (although it's back to £5.99 now), and I have to say I was very impressed. It's also very efficient in its power usage. I played it for around an hour solid and I think my battery dropped about 10% or so.

runkeeper pro is free today and is totaly compatible with the fiscia senor key, if anyone else has one

I Must Run has gone free and it's well worth picking up if you're a fan of the Endless Run genre of games.

Unlike most, this actually has a structure and an ending, so I guess that makes it something a little bit different and, er, not really endless.

It's not without its faults (no way of turning the music off, the control system is a bit fiddly, etc) but at 59p it was well worth it, so for free it's somewhat essential.

Any decent app's that add a timer to your camera, sick of taking shots of the wife and kids and not being in them :(

Have an iPhone 4 btw ;)
