Essential iPhone Apps

Had email today from Co-Pilot, for those that use it or may be interested -

It’s the time of year for giving, and we are delighted to bring our CoPilot Live v8 customers in Europe completely updated, premium quality street maps and POIs from our map partner NAVTEQ.

Our updated iPhone apps have been approved by Apple and are now available for existing customers to download free of charge. Our iPad app will be available shortly. Just login to iTunes on your phone, iPad or desktop computer to get the update.

Thank you for choosing CoPilot Live, happy navigating in 2011!

Are they saying teh iPhone update is free...which has usually been teh norm...or that the iPad version will be free to exitsting users?

I'm not sure how accounts work if you have both an iPhone and an iPad, but guessing if you already have it on the iPad, the upgrade is free.

The Free version is just a demo though. To use the English to Spanish version will cost you £2.99. And then to use the Spanish to English version would cost a further £2.99.

Still very clever though.

I suspect French translation will come next.

What i really want is japanese!
I would happily pay £2.99 for French to English as I have relatives that live there and I can't speak french to save my life!

I think Japanese may be more of a challenge though, but it would be impressive if they pulled it off...
