Essential iPhone Apps

Can someone recommend me the following please (if it exists)?

My friend is having problems with his data connection (iP4) and I wondered if an apps exists that can test/diagnose the quality of reception/data etc - not a speed test.

Many thanks :)

He could try field test mode, a built in function in the phone app to get a more accurate idea of his signal, rather than relying on the bars.

Type *3001#12345#*

All sorts of detail explained below.

Garageband has been updated, it's now pretty damn nice now you can edit the notes and the collaboration over Bluetooth feature is pretty damn nice too.

Also Plaintext is nice for note taking :)

Anyone used PhotoSync? What do you guys think?

Want shift some of the photos on my iPhone without messing about with cables etc.

Install "PC Networking" (paid tweak) from Cydia Store. You will be able to browse through system files of your iPhone from your PC. Good stuff. Highly recommended.

Will that eat into my iCloud storage limit?
Umm.. Not a clue

Even if it does though if your on 5.1 you can delete the photos which are in the photo stream easily. I'm not on 5.1 but just go onto the iCloud website once in a while.

Let me take a load of photos and see if it changes my storage limit.

Edit: As zYx says, yes it does

Yes, but only for 30 days. After this period your pics are being deleted from iCould servers.

I've got streaming turned on but haven't had the chance to play about with iCloud. How would you transfer older pics and videos by iCloud? Just tried quickly on the iPhone but can't work out away to file the older stuff into iCloud, sorry n00bness it is Sunday ;)

Wireless? There is no way. Even if there are apps allowing you to do that, again it will probably be a waste of time. This is one of the reasons to jailbreak! Limitless possibilities!

I'd rather have an old windows-mobile-device-brick than unjailbroken iDevice ;)

Video can't be sent over iCloud, a shame. What I love about iCloud though is I don't have to worry about doing anything for my photos to be on my Windows PC. Its automatic.

I don't think you can turn it on and then all previous photos can be sent over. You need to install and setup the software: http://www.apple.com/uk/icloud/get-started/ and then all new photos will be sent from now on.

That's why i asked about PhotoSync, it seems to be able to transfer wirelessly.

I respect the benefits of jailbreaking but hmmmm just don't want to do it. I don't really mess about with the phone that much besides browsing the web.
