Essential iPhone Apps

Always just look on my iPhone and follow the link to the appstore myself. Do get "service temporarily unavailable" sometimes so maybe it's ok on Safari?
 
Broken Sword is fantastic, as was Beneath a Steel Sky.

Excited for Final Fantasy too. I've got Monkey Island installed but not got round to playing it yet!
 
Many thanks for the heads up about Valet Hero. I love it! It's surprisingly accurate too - I expected the cars to go careering off on mad paths but it recognises my finger tracings very well.
 
Can anyone recommend a decent push app for email? I used GPush but it doesn't work anymore since the iPhone update. Support is really bad for these apps, you pay money then when have a problem all you can do is leave feedback.

Plants vs Zombies now available!

For iPhone / iPod touch. Currently £1.79 as a launch price then it will go up.

I was wondering how the controls were going to be as it gets quite hairy with the mouse but they work well. 2 taps to plant or drag n drop - you choose.
 
What type/genre of game is this? I've heard a lot about it, but the look of the game put me off.

I suppose it's most like a tower defence game really but there a lot of neat little things that make you smile such as the myriad of plants (towers) and the different zombies - the Michael Jackson dancing zombie is a hoot.

There is a PC demo on Steam if you wanted to try it before buying.

Thanks for this :) I brought it yesterday and played it briefly... however, the intro is long and text-extensive :p Hopefully get to try some gameplay today when I have a bit of free time :)
 
Awesome game. I usually don't like tower defense types but this is so addictive. The port to iphone works extremely well.
Best £1.79 you can spend on a game in the app store by a country mile IMO.

But you need this game, it's similar to a tower defence game, even my mum loves this game
 
just bought this and had a play while I had a cuppa... seems very cool - i especially like the help section :p

one question, after you've played a couple of levels, it comes up with a hint something about 3 sunflowers, but i killed the message almost as soon as it came up - was it anything interesting?
