Essential iPhone Apps

Oh I'm so sorely tempted. £2.99 is a little pricey perhaps.
It's less than the price of a pint round here :p I've only played a few games of it but it's the best app I've downloaded so far, if you do buy it read the how to play first or you won't have a clue how to control anything.

I just tried it, push works sometimes and doesnt other times, whats the point in that?

i've found the latest version of beejive pretty stable. Not suffered any crashes and getting plenty of push notifications, and not missed any as of yet.

I do wish there was a bit more customisation around the notifications though, as i'd almost prefer it just to say 'XXXXXX has sent you a message' rather than send me 10 notifications if someone sends me a whole load of messages at once.

it does really make me yearn for a truly integrated im solution within the OS though, it would be great if messages came up in a window that i could reply from within, as quite often i'm writing an email and would be nice to give a yes/no reply without having to go to beejive and then back to my email.

That seems more like what Palm is offering with webOS, so fingers crossed apple take note. Iphone OS is so near to being perfect for me but the lack of multitasking is starting to annoy me now.

After a bit more play - it's not missed a single one i'm very happy :)

After having the phone a week, here's my list:

iSSH - so I can remote login to our linux servers, just wish it did 4096 bit keys
iRdesktop - free RDP client
Flight Control
Free RSS
Facebook
easyWhois

Harbor Master - worth a look, very like Flight Control, only boats.

Must Eat Birds - A little nutty, but decent gameplay. You have to fire your character out of a catapult to prevent the birds eating your cakes. Not bad actually.

Apparently, if your having problems with frame rate issues with worms then make sure all other apps are closed by opening SBsettings and going to process's, you'll need a minimum of 40mb of ram free. Restarting the phone will do the same. (Cheers EVH) I guess going into process's lets you just see what restarting your phone will do. :)
Still think this thread should be in Apple software.
