Its only just come out there must be hundreds like you now which is why it is slow.

Its not just that, its the fact that fileplanet always seem to put this kinda stuff on american servers first before uploading it to uk based servers. Last i checked we're paying probably more for the same service so why do we always play second fiddle ? Must be really hard to upload it to uk and american servers at the same time.

Whys it not suprise me that

a) every dload server is american

b) the dload speeds even for subscribers are crap.




I swear you pay for this supposed fast dload service and even on ntl 20 megs with uk servers i rarely if ever get above 250k

Im in exactly the same boat as you my £30 yearly subscription was pointless, never the less im getting 250k but I should be maxing out my 20mb connnection (and even that is a rare occurrence on the UK servers) as I have paid.

Bloody annoying to say the least, be even more annoying if i get this dloaded and still have the same bugs, click deploy and game hangs plus weird graphical corruption ingame

And FYI the official stats site is also viewable, again in beta. Official ET:QW Stats. And unlike BF2142 not only is it accessible long before the game is released, but so is the XML feed to create... well whatever you want.

Cheers for the link, beats waiting twenty minutes on fileplanet's public servers I'm now getting a solid 450kbs, sweet. . Hope its way better than the first beta as this will help me decide if i will get it or not.

I finally managed to get a download after making about 7 accounts until it would accept a set of hardware details (it wouldn't accept my proper ones because it doesn't have 2900's on the list :/). I finally managed with 7950 512mb, AMD 6000+, 1.5-2gb of ram and T1 connection.

At least I got my key now....
