Euro 2008 Group A **Spoilers**

Lots of people seem to prefix the word Turks with 'dirty' for some reason.

I'd rather be dirty though than a narrow minded bigot.

Here here

Scroll further back in this very thread...:(

I know tell, tell me about it.

It's ridiculous. If it was Black or the N word, or if Jew was used etc...etc... I'd imagine there would be swift suspensions or bannings.

I'd imagine that a few teams will be looking at Nihat from Turkey and possibly Hakan Yakim from Switzerland.

They've both been very lively for their countries and been quite impressive through the tournament.

I'm not saying they're world class players, but I'd be surprised if they're not on a couple of some lesser teams shortlists this summer.

I don't think Nihat will leave, Villarreal are in the Champions League next season.

As for Hakan Yakim, yeah, I can see him going somewhere. Although I not sure who he actually plays for now.

That's a good point about Nihat actually, I didn't consider that.

Hakan Yakim plays for the brilliantly named "Young Boys" in Switzerland so I don't think he'd rule out a move.

The only problem with Yakim is that I think he's in his early 30's so I don't think that many teams will have him as a priority signing.

I think he'd do well for Championship or a bottom 5-6 Premier League side though.

Hard luck to the Czechs and well done to the Turks what a game

Thats was great lets hope the Italy v France game is as exciting and nail biting

Oh Azza WTF why so much hatered for the Turks you have serious mental issues - some sort of therapy might be of some help

I somehow think that Italy vs France will be a bore-fest.

They both need to win, so who knows. They'll both need to find form in that game though as neither has looked particularly good yet.

Astonishing stuff there in the Turkey match, didn't see that coming!

Feel for Cech as well, the poor guy has really had a tough time since he got that head injury. Not looking as commanding and got that nasty cut on his face as well. The standards he set in his first two seasons he was gonna find it tough to keep going but those injuries haven't helped.
