Just put rooney into midfield for energy and passing for lampard and throw bent up front.

He's got no right foot. The chance he did create he over shot it with his right and luckily someone was on the end of it.
I think he's a good player.... on the left but Ashley Young is better.

And he also put in another (better) cross when he cut in on his left and if it wasn't for great covering header, Rooney would have had a simple chance.
It just seemed strange that 3 people have picked him out for criticism when he's the only player that's looked like creating anything for us so far, despite playing out of position.
Hes played poorly so far, its not a commentary on his ability, just an observation of how he is playing tonight.

I'm just disappointed he's being played out of position. He's getting a lot of the ball which is good but he should be getting it on the left where he can do something better with it. I think he's just panicking a bit on the right and keeps losing it.
I'm a fan of him believe it or not. I'm a Boro fan and love what he did for us and think he'll do well at Liverpool.

As much as I love Lampard, being a Chelsea man, all does when he gets the ball is pass it and then disappear. There's no pace, no creativity, no spark from him. He's solid, sure, but still.
