I love the way that there are some players who are just unfashionable. If they do something good it's a bit lucky, if they do nothing good then it's just evidence that they're pants. If Ashley Young had skinned someone and put that ball in, people would have been lauding him all over the shop.

I'm a fan of him believe it or not. I'm a Boro fan and love what he did for us and think he'll do well at Liverpool.

There was a period when Young would have received the same treatment..
I believe it was when he played for Villa :p
 
All four players on the flanks are playing well but the central midfielders and Rooney look like they've never played together. Why no manager has ever told Rooney to stay upfront is beyond me. Does far more damage than good constantly dropping deep.

The season Rooney played up top exclusively for United (and by that i mean basically hogging the space in and around the box) he was amazing (Ugh, someone hand me the bleach), so yes i agree.
 
I think the front three look quite good. Young and Downing looking really good on either side.

Terry has been awful again so far, Cole has actually **** a brick with Bale running at him / past him.

Midfield look dull, unimaginative and lifeless. Defence look "okay" Cahill looks a little nervy but Terry has been very poor. Cole needs to be more disciplined and Smalling's final ball has been poor.
 
Also, Ramsey looks really good, he's far better then anything England have in the middle of the park.

Bale looks lethal running at Cole, especially when Cole pushes up.
