I've not touched ETS2 for ages, I've been driving ATS exclusively. I need to fire this one up, configure the wheel and get all my mods etc updated.

You have of course shut off...truck speed limiter ? in the Game Play Settings

Hmm... I couldn't comment

I just assumed that you start with a really slow truck and work your way up with better engines etc.?

I'll check that setting tonight though, thanks!

In the gameplay settings turn off the speed limiter. It's near the top. Trucks have several engines but you unlock more as you level.

I just grabbed the regional DLCs for ETS2 that I'd not already got (from Instant-Gamer), installed the latest ProMods and updated all the other mods I had installed. Set up my wheel and I'm off on my toes to Italy.

I'd forgotten that I'd set my trucks registration number to that of the first brand new car I owned. Ahh, memories.

I had one of those little scania trucks and could just about get 122 out of it

..but I am looking forward to the new DLC they are going to put out with very heavy large loads
