Euro Truck Simulator 2 worthy of purchase

Only time I had similar issues it was connected to the in game resolution settings, they had reset somehow, I got into the game by running one of the troubleshoot cmd files and setting the res correctly.

Turned out to be a patch issue, read up after that the patch can go to not responding for a while, left it the next time and all was fine! :) Trucked away happily for a couple of hours, made my first venture into Europe and took out a few foreigners by mistake :)

Reasons why the de-limiter mod might be a bad idea

:(

83mph to 0 in 1cm
€52k to repair....

I'm pretty sure fuel tankers alter the handling wayyy more than any other load, i've never had so many motorway moments before.

Ooops, spun out on a straight road? :D

Tankers are awesome fun, I just do most of my runs with explosives/fertilizer etc.. to make it feel more "daring" :D

Do you get to do car transporters at any time? I see so many around and looks like they'd be fun to haul, especially from Milan to Munich :D

It wasn't straight!! I just turned slightly too much (perils of being a keyboard user) and that was it carried on turning and hit just as the concrete barrier started. Couple of meters forward or back i'd have bounced off with maybe 5% damage :(

Yeah i try to do the explosives etc if i can but i always seem to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and have to do measly €50/mile jobs instead of the €80+ the good stuff gives.

No idea about car carriers, i guess not haven't seen any jobs with them yet.

Ahh ok, looks to me (and I'm sure many others) that you simple nodded off at the wheel on a straight road at 80+ mph and put your Truck into the central reservation!

Personally, I think you should be struck off and have your license revoked, you're a menace!! :D

This happens with me a lot with the mod installed. I'm at the point where I can earn €30k+ per mission and I can get up to around €50k cash just to end up spending it all on repairs :(.

I find the best way to cope with this is to only go full speed on relatively straight motorways and reduce the speed to 90km/h on big curved corners and 60-70km/h on sharp corners.

By the way, what are your skills to allow you to get €80/km?

And i'm stuck in dortmund with the best job nearby being €55/mile :(

Thanks. I guess I'll start sinking some skill points into JIT. Also, count yourself lucky ;). My best offer at the moment is only €42/km! Although the odd job pops up at €60-70/km for a delivery from and to the same destination ...

Yeh JIT is cool. It's too easy to get the deliveries in time with the delimiter mod though, but i can't go back to driving at 55mph, so boring :p The one where i crashed above, after getting taken back to the start location and repairing i had 8 hours remaining on the job with 9h 30 on the sat nav timer. Finished the job with over 2 hours left on the job timer ;) Unless you mess up your rest times like i did the other day, needed to rest twice in one job and barely made it with minutes to spare.

Anyone know of a way to edit skill points? I'm only going to reallocate my points seeing as there is no official way to reallocate them. I'm guessing the information is stored in the profile.SII file in Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\profile\[profile string]. However when I open the file it looks like scssoft has scrambled the data to stop people editing it.

Upto level 29 now, almost at 30 hehe

I think the only way you can do it is to memory hack the game, it's fairly simple to do.

Awesome, thanks for that :D.

E: How much better is the 6x2-4 chassis compared to the 4x2? I'm thinking of upgrading but want to know the performance benefits before dropping 40k on it.
