indeed, I had a thought that it might be because i was running with a modded engine (the drag type one), so i went and bought a stock truck, stock basic engine but it still tops out at 55mph, It's seriously annoying now, seen countless other people posting about it working and such but it just doesn't want to know !?!?!
 
Indeed...those that install the de-limiter mod seem to end up spending a lot more on repairs. Just hit the limiter and cruise.

Had a unique moment last night!

Enjoying the twisty roads in Poland, when the tanker in front of me stops...dead. Queue me ploughing into the back of him at 40. I go 40 to 0 in about a foot, but the tanker in front does a hop...onto a level crossing (I didn't know was there!). The tanker straddling the railway and crossing, yellow cab on one barrier, tanker trailer wheels on the other. When all of a sudden, a blue train storms into the tanker - sending the trailer skyward, with me watching the underneath of the tanker trailer axles go as high as telegraph poles. The yellow cab remaining attached to the tanker all the time.
The train disappears off to the right as quick as it arrived. The tanker is seen driving off in the distance, on the otherside of the level crossing. I catch the tanker a few miles down the road - he's oblivious to his encounter earlier. Thanks, I have 32% damage now.

Cant understand where that car came from!! Had to visit repair centre as couldnt move off of it!
