is there a benefit of choosing your own numbers VS lucky dip?

I know the numbers are drawn randomly but is there way to maybe pick the numbers that appear more often than others?

No number has any more chance of being drawn than any other, each draw is completely independent from the last, there is just as much chance as the exact same numbers as last week coming up again as there is for any other combination.

If you know your own numbers, you won't need your ticket to know you've won.
However you'll be gutted if the one week you don't play your numbers come up.

There are sites that will give you all the statistics you'll want.

Only good thing about lucky dip is that if you forget to put them on it won't really matter.

I do random to remove my own selection bias & therefore reduce the chances of sharing the jackpot if I do win

They make sense though because the point being made is to not beat the odds but just give you a better chance by beating the punters by avoiding commonly used numbers.

Simple solution = Lucky Dip

Fair enough, I always LD to prevent remorse if I don't play my normal numbers when they come up.
