And what if you managed it and three other people all had the winning numbers?
If I remember correctly, someone tried this on the Irish lottery once but didn't succeed as an irregular large number of purchases was noticed. After that, they increased the numbers so it really couldn't happen again.

Yea i know, I was just saying it to prove that buying more lines does increase your chances of winning

Of course if you were willing to put your faith (and that much money!) in odds of just 1 in 2, you could cover half the possible number combinations for only £116,531,800. That's a 122% return... if your 50% odds pay off!
I, for one, would be more than happy with the £1 million lucky dip thing prize. I'm at an age where I would not need to work again as I have a modest lifestyle I am more than happy with. As long as I can ride my bike, play computer games and watch films, as well as other stuff, I'd be content.

Your odds of a win are the same for each line you buy. So if the odds were 1 million to 1 each line would be 1 million to 1. The only way your odds would increase is if the lines were combined.
Buying more lines means you have more chances at the same odds.
If that makes sense....
