European Football Leagues 2012-13 [Spain/France/Italy/Germany/other]

just caught a glimpse of Levante vs Barcelona, that awful Barcelona 2nd strip doesn't get any better after seeing it a few times :p one of the all time worst kits?

messi a hatrick away from the torpedo's record. Can he get it tonite. The madrid derby should be good as its been ages since atletico have had a proper run in la liga

Messi with a goal... maybe? Probably go down as an OG though. Had about an hour to choose how he was going to finish that then.

But any way it's Barca 2 - 0 Bilbao

Anyone else watching the MLS Final?

David Beckhams last game for the LA Galaxy.

Is there a dedicated thread for football teams outside europe?

Hopefully Alonso and others will retract from being nobs on the pitch and stop constantly fouling, I mean Xabi should've been sent off in every single Classico since he has taken over. Maybe he is only 'special' in short stints.

He did it from the day he started playing at Real, he's always been that kind of player really. His hollywood balls which is, thwacking it into the far corner and if someone is fast enough to get on the end of it "its brilliant", if not, somehow its overlooked. Outside of fouling he offers incredibly little to that side, though in fairness that defence is so bad and full of rash tacklers, they need to spread the cards out a bit and concede easier to defend freekicks further out.

Real get away with a painful amount of fouling, Ramos, Alonso, Marcelo and Pepe(stamped on Messi's hand was it, blatant as anything, completely ignored by the refs and they never do anything after the games).

As for Mourinho leaving, basically every club he's been at he takes over the team that are just a year from winning a title(or had won several in a row already), spends a lot, gets them into this weird mentality that seems to work for a year or two then falls to pieces... then has a much worse year, loses the squad and usually jumps ship long before this point. I can't see him staying beyond this season, so far they've been terrible, the team isn't gelling, they've been deservedly beaten repeatedly, haven't done very well or looked particularly strong in the champs league this season and are having serious trouble catching 2nd in the league let alone going for a title fight again.

But for Valencia imploding and Malaga having a very poor run in the past 6 or so games, they'd be fighting for 4th at the moment, not 5 points behind 2nd.

Once again also Mourinho's buys have been, mostly crap. Ozil, everyone wanted him, Modric, good but offers nothing to the team and what it was desparately missing was goals from central midfield, something they missed, something Modric doesn't offer. It also upset half the team as it meant Kaka's chances were dead and a well liked Ozil was shoved aside. Coentrao... has been crap, 30mil on a left back, who can't defend, to replace another expensive left back who can't defend. Di Maria, again loads went for him, worth pointing out that Ozil and Di Maria tend to look non existant in tough games, ones apparently unfit for more than 60mins, weak and not good against top sides, and Di Maria is a horrendous diving ****, who also disappears. Carvalho, can't get a game, hasn't played much, wasn't rated much by the time he left Chelsea, hasn't played well at all for Real, big wage, complete waste. Sahin, big wage, biggish fee, complete waste.

All the guys that really make this team, were there before him(same could be said for Porto, Chelsea and Inter). Ronaldo, Benzema and co having better second seasons, some of them being particularly poor in the first season, did better, shock horror.

Then you factor in the constant stream of crap he does, fights with the bosses of his team, fights with league officials, sticking his finger in the opposition assistant managers eye, getting Alonso and Ramos to get yellow cards on purpose(at least they fined him for that one). He's basically a disgrace.
