European Football Leagues 2012-13 [Spain/France/Italy/Germany/other]

Wow first time since he's been a manager that Mourinho has ended a season without a trophy

Long may that continue ;)

Highlight for me was RM players near the end rolling over after every foul but then realising they were wasting time and jumping straight back up again :D

Not being funny but I reckon at least 1/3 of Spanish games I watch have a ridiculous amount of players surrounding the ref, handbags, pushing and shoving, punches being thrown, benches wading in, time-wasting, playacting, diving etc. If that sort of thing went on in televised EPL matches there would be inquiries going on for days afterwards.

Was that Madrid's last game this season? If so, hurry up Mourinho and announce your decision to come to Chelsea! :p

Edit: Is that Blatter handing out the medals? He loves Spain doesn't he...

Was a very odd game, personally I think Ronaldo shouldn't have gotten a red purely because, he was smashed into and the ref with one look couldn't possibly tell if he kicked out on purpose, being tipped up and one leg going in the air isn't exactly rare. But he did a fairly deliberate handball and he most certainly kicked the defender earlier in the calf for no reason, so really should have been off anyway.

Ozil, lol, usual Ozil, gifted quite a few chances contrieves to play in that languid style Berbatov does, but without the end product, fluffed his shots, messed up a lot of passes, was weak on the ball and poor trying to win it back.

Di Maria's barrel roll then instant jump up was actually impressive how well he stood back up the split second he realised he wasn't getting the decision. His insistence he should have gotten a penalty when it wasn't even close was pathetic, as was the reaction of the bench who much further away all jumped up and even went onto the pitch to complain.

Once again Ozil kinda fluffs it, Benzema is useless, Alonso fouls more than he dominates in midfield, Khedira didn't do much, Coentrao is awful and constantly fouls, Essien was mostly woeful, particularly his delivery, Modric just didn't really do anything, got a lot of the ball but very few killer passes, kept looking easily rushed and easily put under pressure.

DI Costa had one of his less outrageous games, and was very good at points in the game for sure. Falcao holding up the ball, turning away from the midfield and passing him in for the first goal was fantastic, but got very little service for chances to shoot infront of goal which is a shame.

Pleases me greatly all Ronaldo has won is 1 league title and 1 Spanish cup since he left while we on the other hand have 2 league titles and a league cup - in your face Cristiano!!!! :p

Glad that Atletico won last night, always a pleasure to see the Moaning one lose another trophy with that squad he has at Real.

Was a funny game with all the rolling around and time wasting but its typical Spanish football...even Barca do the same and its pretty sad to see in all honesty.

To be honest, you see it in games sometimes, but outside of Barca, Real and Atletico to a slightly lesser degree you very rarely see it. Personally I see it as Real Madrid issue mostly as you'll see barca play like that far far more against Real Madrid than any other team, Atletico, well Costa, can be a complete ****.

Outside of those teams most other games go off without much rolling around or cheating, no more than your average EPL game, derbies seem to bring it out even more in Spain where derbies still seem to be insanely important compared to england, where they are important but not run around cheating important anymore.

To be honest I'm not sure how much its Spanish football, and how much its just those players. Xavi doesn't dive, or cheat, or try and break peoples legs, yet Ramos/Pepe will happily try and kill the opposition given the chance. But those two would dive and elbow and stamp if they were playing in any other league.
