European Football Leagues 2012-13 [Spain/France/Italy/Germany/other]

Cant complain since im a Juve fan :D. My mum and bro are Milan fans they will get a few s lags tonight!

Scumbag :p but it is what it is. We got you relegated anyway ;)

As for Milan hope they don't pull off a miracle would really like to see Fiorentina back in the CL... they got seriously screwed over last time they were in the competition vs Bayern.

Edit : I can't believe it Milan have turned it around courtesy of a BS pen to set up the late winner bloody typical...

With the help of the ref, last season and this year they keep getting non existant penalties!

If you have a bit of free time, make sure you watch Roma - Lazio at 18:00 (17:00 UK time). Not only is it a derby (Derby della Capitale) but its also the Coppa italia final, and the winner gets access to the Europa League group stage.

If Roma win, they would be the first team to win 10 Coppa Italia trophies, meaning they get to put a 'silver star' on their shirt.

Forza Lazio :)

Can't believe Sociedad couldn't agree contract with new manager so he's going to mid table Rennes... seriously, champs league next year is still very possible(though Real Madrid tonight) and he's going to mid table in the worse french league, mental.

Worse is for tonight Vela is banned because the ref screwed him in the last game. He took a fairly heavy knock on the touch line so went down off the pitch, NO treatment, no asking for treatment, its just one of those where it takes you 10-20 seconds to get up after a heavy knock. He got up, came back on, no treatment, nothing untoward, and he got a yellow for coming back on without being asked back on, utter utter joke to miss the biggest game left in the season, for their best player(not on current form but over the season) because the ref is an utter utter douchebag.

Oh well, should be a good game tonight, its at home for Sociedad and Agirretxe is their current best form striker and should be playing. Level with Valencia who have Granda at home tonight but Sevilla away on the final day, Sociedad have Real at home tonight and Deportivo away final game.

Deportivo are still in a relegation fight and I don't think can be out of it this weekend, so will be a tough game next week, Granada also not safe yet, Sevilla will be looking for a Europa spot still next weekend.

If Valencia/Sociedad end up level due to head to head results Sociedad spanked them across the two games this year so no contest there. If Sociedad match Valencia's results they get in the champs league, but Europa is still a HUGE result for them and they are already certain of 5th place at least.

Barca up, Valencia level and currently Real Madrid ahead but Sociedad have dominated almost completely and had a awesome chance that got saved, Sociedad easily looking the better team at the moment.

Another awesome chance as I was writing, couple great headers on target but a bit close to the keeper, and some great football again. Sociedad are so attacking, but pass and move, linking up, it realy is like old Arsenal, the 98-04 Arsenal, pure attack(they are good defensively but saying they get the ball they drive forwards every chance they can, normally in numbers, with great link up play).

Complete meltdown for Benfica in recent weeks,
Lost the league in the last game, lost the Europa Cup final in the last few mins and now have lost the Portugese Cup 2-1 to Vitoria despite being 1-0 up going into the last 10 mins.

One hell of a game for Sociedad again, amazing 3-3, should have been about 8-3, and one of Real's goals was a MASSIVE defensive error by Sociedad.

Completely fine 3rd goal for Sociedad ruled out as offside even though a Real player cleared it which hit another real player and went towards a Sociedad player standing behind them. The first 45minutes was essentially utter Sociedad domination, the second 45 Real came out playing much better and Sociedad, I guess nervousness you get in a team when they dominate, have chances but can't score, led to a really poor first 15-20mins, constant mistakes. They went 2-0 down and then it went nuts, pure attacking, loads of chances, scored 3, let one more in, had a goal disallowed, Khedira faked an injury to avoid getting a second yellow after just kicking someones achilles and giving away a freekick.

Sociedad in 9/10 games are just so ridiculously entertaining. Such a shame they couldn't match Valencia's result, they won a tight 1-0 game, but the last game in theory is easier for Sociedad and harder for Valencia. Sociedad have to win, Valencia only have to win if Sociedad do, otherwise their result won't matter as they are now 2 points ahead.

With the number of chances they missed I can't help but think Vela on as well would have scored a couple as he's so calm and deadly in the box, the most ridiculous yellow card I've ever seen in that last game, I've literally never seen a ref even think about giving a card for someone who got fouled, slide off the pitch and came back on after a short delay(no treatment at all).

You seem to mention Vela every single weekend in this thread yet looking at his stats and watching a few odd performances he's nothing like the striker you're describing. Not really sure how you can praise one player so much yet criticise Walcott so often when he's scoring and assisting far more in a far harder league

Because he is Drunkenmaster and his opinion regarding anything remotely relating to football is right, ESPECIALLY when it comes to Arsenal.

He is the highest scorer and highest assister(by a margin) in a team that has a 40million euro budget, trying to nick 4th of Valencia, a team spending several times as much. EDIT:- trying to nick is harsh, they've actually been ahead of them for ages and have fully deserved it being brilliant for months on end and giving Valencia a couple spankings in the process(both in fantastically entertaining games).

Vela didn't play, I've been talking up SOCIEDAD, can you see the spelling difference. Did you read my post at all, where I said Vela has been in worse form since his injury a couple months ago, Vela had been the best player by a small margin in a great squad playing great football. he's still been their best player of the season just less good in the past couple of months.

He's put in a couple of dozen excellent performances, but again most of my posts are regarding SOCIEDAD and how freaking awesome they were, but way to make another attacking me post for something you can't quite grasp.

That was one of the most exciting games I've seen in the past few weeks last night against Real, and Vela wasn't playing.

I've been telling people to watch SOCIEDAD< because they are damn fun to watch, not Vela, he just happens to be there and is the reason I made the effort to watch a few games last season to see how he was doing, what I found was an awesomely entertaining football team that played exciting football and seemed to rarely partake in a boring game, so I stayed watching them, its not that difficult to comprehend is it?

While you might write off Vela as a few good performances, anyone who watches la liga, like any pundits or spanish commentators have gone on and on about how fantastic he's been, there have been numerous articles on how damn well Vela has been doing in la liga, but thats all worthless because you want to have a pop for no apparent reason, as per usual.

Don't watch SOCIEDAD, regardless of Vela, good for you, you'll miss exciting games and I won't.

IIRC Sociedad have scored 6 against Real Madrid(with one disallowed tonight completely unfairly), first team to beat Atletico at home in over a year, and I think they were the last team to do it before then as well, they were the first (and only?) team to beat Barcelona in the league this year, they thrashed Valencia and thrashed Malaga...... they have a 40million budget and gave Barca and Real, with their 450-500mil budgets, their toughest league games of the season........... but you're not impressed because Vela wasn't great in a few games you watched......

AS for Walcott, well he IS crap, if you can't see why, more fool you. Ronaldo can take the ball from the half way line and use pace, strength, skill, tricks or just intelligence to either play 1-2's, or beat his man to get to the box and score or set up a goal, a LOT of wingers can do that, I've barely ever seen Walcott do that. He's either scoring tap ins(mostly) or being passed the ball out wide and putting it in, though most of his assists tend to come from corners.

THere are players who gain the benefit of everyone elses work, and there are players who do all the work, Vela is the latter, Walcott is the former.

Considering Walcott scored 8 last year and 14 this year, and Vela scored 13 last year and 14 this year............. yeah, I'd say Vela is better. Which IF I'm wrong and Walcott actually is good... still makes Vela better, scoring more with "worse" players around him and a significantly smaller club. Could you also maybe explain how 10 is "far more" than 9 assists, or 14 goals is "far more" than, errm, 14 goals? or how last year Walcotts 8 goals is "far more" than Vela's 13, I mean, it looks like Vela scored over 50% more in the league last year......... but maybe thats just facts and numbers, and accuracy, and knowing what I'm talking about.

SO either Walcott is great, Vela IS better and you're wrong, or Walcott sucks, and you're wrong, which is it? As for being nothing like the striker I've described, its odd, because he's played on the left and right wing for the past 2 seasons and I've said as much. Agirretxe is their out and out striker, and he's been in fantastic form for the past couple months. Vela both picked up an injury and missed a couple games and lost some fitness at a key time. He's also being targetted more and more as he tends to have most of the ball, meaning he's getting kicked off the park in quite a few games, yet still playing very well. Agirretxe in particular has stepped up as Vela's form has gone down a bit, and Griezman has improved a little, but both were good all season anyway.

Anonymous player stats:

43 appearances, 21 goals, 17 assists in all competitions. Top combined PL goal and assists for his team (25) and 4th in the league overall.

Oh it's Walcott, WORST PLAYER EVER!

Barca win their last game and they get 100 points  W32 D4 L2, average season tbh

I'd like to see what Barca can do next season when they rebuild and possibly get in a long term manager. They need to sort out their defense and let Masc back into midfield where he belongs. He is not a CB, they have been getting away with it for almost 2 seasons now. Shocking.

DM does love a good rant doesn't he.

There's some pretty incredible blind loving going on here for Vela, and Sociedad, are they the new hipster team?

I haven't seen anyone say Walcott is anywhere near as good as Ronaldo so why even compare them?
