European Football Leagues 2012-13 [Spain/France/Italy/Germany/other]

What a goal. Got revenge for that goals that was incorrectly rules offside.

The other goal was great too.

The guy is 18, and that was his professional debut. He is only 18, 19 in October. 6 months ago he was playing in the Uruguayan 2nd division. Came to Roma, 18 goals in 12 matches for the youth team.

He's gonna be a beast once he gets older.

4mil Falcao cost Porto, they got what, 40mil, the next team to get him will make Athletico god damned rich(spanish league so probably much much less poor in reality :p ). Think Villa, Torres, Benzema/Higuain, and possibly someone at City will be pretty worried about where they'll be playing next season. Can't see it taking too long before someone comes in with an epic offer.

If Torres has a bad season, Chelsea will have to go for someone big, and honestly I think(assuming Torres misfires again) that it would be great to see him at Chelsea purely in a sense that basically every one of Spains/Englands top teams will have a seriously good line up, if Real or Barca get him their front three's will be insane, City already have a great bunch of strikers, Chelsea are the only team lacking somewhat.

Falcao is still only 26 years old. He would cost too much to buy, I don't think many clubs will go for him right now. 50-60m or even more he could be sold for. His scoring record at AM is almost a goal per game.

Too much is a phrase Real/Chelsea/City/Barca simply don't understand, in reality 60mil is fairly cheap for a player that will give you basically a goal a game. He's not some tap in artist either, his finishing is superb from basically anywhere, great in the air, dominating in the air, dominating in the box with his feet. But his power and build up play is awesome as well. I see him as what seems to be a more prolific Drogba, just a beast, but with more goals/pace in his game.

Fact is he's both too good for AM, and AM I'm fairly sure have debt that means they won't be able to afford to turn down a 60mil offer. They have iirc around 300mil of debt and can't get any more credit. How they bought him I'll never know, crazy crazy Spain finances ;)

If they can get in the champs league this season they might have a chance of pulling in the kind of money they need to be making. I assume the 40mil on Falcao was a last attempt to secure themselves champs league every season and make significantly more money, then they went and screwed the pooch, Malaga didn't help and their finances seem to be shaping up to sell even more players so Athletico really should make the CL for next season.

Ultimately I can't see a huge club with a real chance of winning the league and champs league not being interested eventually, and I can't see him not wanting to leave to win both. If they can't make the champs league, with that kind of debt, I can't see them being able to turn down a 50mil + offer, though his final price will likely be several clubs outbidding for him than the least they can afford to take.

Its the taxman that Am are in serious trouble with. They owe millions even after using the aguero fee to pay part of it. Any falcao money would go to them.

2nd leg tonight. RM to go out guns blazing.

Modric isn't available for this game, right? Would like to see how he is intergrated into the team. I guess with his match fitness, they aren't going to play him against Barca.

Gonna say a 2-1 win for Madrid. Extra time then pens. Gonna be a long night.

I still see Alonso as the biggest weakness in that team, he's like Song, rarely tracks runs into/beyond the defence from midfield, constantly gets caught chasing back, constantly gives away yellow cards and stupid freekicks and doesn't offer much going forwards at all. Khedira and Diarra especially are just hugely hugely stronger defensively.

Reason I don't rate Ozil is like the other day, he has way too many terrible games, not loads but too many and when he's bad he's annonymous and can't effect a game. Di Maria is much the same, adding in diving and stupidity, he's faster but doesn't work hard defensively while Ozil tries to work hard but has zero fitness and no real pace to speak of.

Real for no apparent reason especially with their "score more than the other side" way of winning, play a way way too defensive midfield. Its partially because they have crap fullbacks(Arbeloa has been improving of late, the left backs can't defend to save their lives), meh CB's, but you can't cover a meh defence with a mistake prone DM who doesn't help. Modric in for Alonso gives a smart passer to play Ronaldo/Di Maria/Strikers where they need to be. They play Alonso very deep to help with the defence but he doesn't actually do that. Diarra/Khedira deep with Modric/Ozil ahead of him, Ronaldo and Di Maria on the wings with a striker upfront would improve them. The question is who is he going to drop for Modric.
