European Grand Prix 2011, Valencia Street Circuit - Race 8/19

Tis but one reason I hate the rule that says both tyre types have to be used during a GP, unless it rains. Why can't the teams choose to use only the harder or softer tyre if they want to and not have to use both? :(

Yeah I agree it's one of the most stupid rules in recent years. Hamilton has gone so early his last stint will be painfull :(

How can you 'look after your tyres'. If you drive carefully so as not to wear out the tyres, then you're not really competing as you need to.

I hate having to watch an agressive machine like Lewis get calls to manage tyres and pace :(

I know people like the excitement these tyres give but it really hurts the racers.

hammy looks like hes blowing his tyres early again, he never learns lol
Lol. So that us, Martin and DC and now Lewis' engineers realising before Lewis himself it seems that he's screwing his tyres up. :D

Yep. I don't get the rule. It's a rule that makes a strategy decision for the teams. Would the Premier League tell the teams to make at least one substitution in each half of a game?

NNnnnnoooo! Webber with the undercut. :(

Joining the "bored" lot. :(

It's just this track I think. Has there ever been a good race here?

Love that Hamilton has basically told them to **** off.
"I can't go any slower" :D

It's tedious when it becomes a tyre management endurance race.

Close call for Alonso there!
Could have done with Massa getting out of the way. :(

Edit: As boring as the race is, it's not as bad as many races in previous seasons.
We should still think ourselves lucky.

I hate the way they fall off instantly but fair play to Red Bull for getting the guesswork right this time. How can you try to run one stop less when you have no real indication that the tyres are about to fall apart.

Imagine getting to the last 10 laps and having happen what just happened to Alonso and now Massa. Or Hamilton who can't even push as he wants :(

Seriously take this place off the calendar it brings nothing to F1 apart from a poor mans Monaco location.

I think the track temp has just caught them out. So no one can push as they would like.

It seems we are seeing what webber warned we would get this year on the rules, managed pace instead of hammer and tongs racing.
