Good to hear they can do it then hahaonly on the model y juniper so far
I was comparing between apps and it was at max 3p in my area. If you have a Tesla does it show you cheaper prices in the app?
I thought the app/in-vehicle was the only way to see supercharger pricesIf you have a Tesla does it show you cheaper prices in the app?

The idea is to charge at home or work. Only using fast charging isn't a great idea so you'd be better off not switchingI was comparing between apps and it was at max 3p in my area. If you have a Tesla does it show you cheaper prices in the app?
I would roughly get similar pricing with a polestar charge or Tesla subscription would I not?
Why would anyone use other fast charging…I’m trying to shift some of our work fleet onto electric cars and it’s a hard sell to the higher ups. We got a cheap Buzz in to trial and whilst the car is brilliant the fast charging on Electroverse is terribly expensive. If colleagues had home chargers it’s a different story as they refund straight to them.
I’m just trying to get my head around the most cost efficient way for summer travelling so was always going to subscribe to polestar charge and use Superchargers the best I can. I just hope by that point I can filter the car to just superchargers!
there's a website!? news to me lolYou can see prices online but not as easy as the app or car

not sure, i don't own a non-tesla so can't be certainI would roughly get similar pricing with a polestar charge or Tesla subscription would I not?
indeedWhy would anyone use other fast charging…
Oh, I don’t use fast charging but when the time comes when I need to in anger when away from home/work it’s nice to understand the cheapest way to do so.The idea is to charge at home or work. Only using fast charging isn't a great idea so you'd be better off not switching
Not sure how long you've had your EV but sounds like you're getting really obsessed with pricing which isn't the right thing to do if all you need it for is the odd journey
for a non-tesla vehicle, it's still a supercharger with a sub (i'm not sure if the volvo sub counts like a tesla sub though, as i've no idea how it works, so you need to investigate this yourself)the cheapest way to do so.
Yeah if you search the supercharger site you can see pricingYou can see prices online but not as easy as the app or car

Because all public charging is obscenely and prohibitively expensive compared to charging at home at (roughly) 7p or 8p per kWh, so on the very odd occasion I have to do it I just go for the fastest one local to where I am whatever the cost.
It’s so infrequent that it’s minuscule compared to money saved over diesel in the long run so I just go to the fastest one available.
If you have to use public charging a lot just to get by, then EV ownership may not yet be entirely suitable for you or your business.
As always, your personal situation will be very particular.
Unless you're personally owning it for life and need to eke out every last bit of battery life then it's way too much to be worrying aboutYeah, my home is at 7.5p off peak...I export at 16.5p and have a battery connected to the house that charges overnight also. I shouldn't sweat the pennies but sometimes the fast charging is extortionate so when it has to be used it's nice to know the caveats. You're right though when compared to filling up an ICE.
Electroverse with home chargers is the ideal scenario for the company I work for with the auto reimbursement.
Looking forward to some summer months to see what the range improvements are like! I'm currently charging when I reach 20-30% and up to 80%, I will do a full sweep charge from around 10% to full every month or couple of months to make sure BMS calibration happens. I'm lead to believe cell calibration only happens above 80%? Is this all too nerdy to even worry/obsess about?
Just to warn you that eon has nerfed their export tariff for TOU users on next drive. when your current SEG contract expires eon will pay only 6p/kwh whilst you are on next drive.Yeah, my home is at 7.5p off peak...I export at 16.5p and have a battery connected to the house that charges overnight also.
actually smaller charges have less battery wearI'm currently charging when I reach 20-30% and up to 80%
I locked in a few days before they changed it! It came up on the GivEnergy forums so was perplexed when someone mentioned it as I'd only just had my renewal. Going to make the most of the export this year and dump the battery into the grid to make the most of it. SEG was hard enough to get in the first place so begrudge moving that around...Just to warn you that eon has nerfed their export tariff for TOU users on next drive. when your current SEG contract expires eon will pay only 6p/kwh whilst you are on next drive.
would suggest you check when your current SEG contract ends and diarise a move away from eon

just be careful with dumping too much tooI locked in a few days before they changed it! It came up on the GivEnergy forums so was perplexed when someone mentioned it as I'd only just had my renewal. if you don't use much leccy daily then set the max charge to 70% for even more battery longevitySo, with the above, me charging at home every day with the 12% I use of the battery a day would be less damaging to the battery...hmmm. 68-80% it is then!![]()
