EV general discussion

I’m not judging someone buying a Tesla, I’m judging someone deluding themselves supporting Elon Musk is no different than buying Duracell batteries from Amazon.

I am not overly bothered about what Musks wants to do, his company have got people buying/leasing EV's and they are very popular.
I haven't got a Tesla but some friends who have purchased them love them.
There must be a reason for that?

If I can have a decent car from Musk, I'll hand him the cash personally and thank him for it.

"I'm not gonna lower myself to your level" followed by a long and tedious post lowering yourself to my level. Never change Jonny :D

And no, I didn't google any of that, I know from experience. Not via the grapevine, not on some internet blog, from actual, real world experience with my very own two eyeballs.

And apologies for the insult, Rosie Jones really didn't deserve that.

No you need to slow down. I doubled downed on an explanation AFTER receiving a targeted insult which I did nothing of the sort to return. Yet you have doubled down your insult now. Looks like it’s not just one level one needs to lower themself.

And that’s how you interpret the course of event!?! Wow.

Pretty certain the readers here are seeing exactly the same.

Peace out. Done. Man Utd kicking off soon

You're such a cute little angry arguer. You're the most "I must have the final word" person on these forums, even worse than me and I'm absolutely shocking for it as evidenced right now.

I'll see you back in an hour or so when your awful football team has had their arses handed to them. Again.

;)

I can respect that far more than your preachy nonsense about Amazon and batteries. At least now we all know where you stand.

I've never once said anything to the contrary. I've made it pretty clear all along that I don't care. Just like I don't care about all the other awful stuff I indirectly contribute towards by purchasing certain items. The difference is I don't go preaching to people about it because I'm just as guilty as them, because whether I like it or not, it's unavoidable. Pick your poison I guess.

It really is avoidable for the most part, you saying it isn’t is a cop out and calling other people out for at least having morals about their purchases is not a good look.

Your argument is essentially “I have no morals and you shouldn’t either”.

No, my argument is more "I have no morals and I'm not interested in hearing your thoughts on it".

Why people feel the need to preach about this is beyond me. This whole debate wouldn't even exist if people just minded their own business tbh.

I’m far too old now to care what people think. In my opinion most people are morons anyway.

Life is too short. I buy what I like/what is cool/price competitive/smart/fit for purpose - pick one or all, don’t care. As others have said “you do you” - I don’t like or dislike Musk as I’ve never met him.

I’ve driven a couple of Tesla’s - they’re great cars and have advanced the EV genre.

I once used StarLink for over a year until FTTP was installed in my village, because it suited me. Did I cut my nose off to spite my face? Nah, what’s the point.

I try and take that approach with all things.

If you go back far enough on virtually every major company in the world, you’ll discover something you don’t like. It’s the way of the world and no doubt how those companies rose to dominance. Is it right? Who knows.

To reiterate, you do you, let others do them. No right or wrong answers ladies.

Then why did you call out someone for daring to state they don’t like Musk? Let it go and move on would be what someone “not caring” does. You are the very epitome of someone who’s cares, but or you wouldn’t making that pointless post about Amazon and batteries in the first place.

Because it gets tedious. Same as listening to vegans.
