Suspect your autonomous EV will be drivign at 50-60mph not 90 haha... the battery drain would be insane.

But as it's autonomous you could do stuff while driving so although it takes longer you might not care as much.

True.
Depends how it all evolves really, but from a safety point it could be more.

Although one of the points of land trains or Ev trains or whatever you want to call them was the basis that you can in effect draft and use less energy to go faster due to tiny gaps being needed.

I doubt most of us will be alive to see it anyway.
 
It would be interesting to see what AI could do with a single lane compared to a 3 lane motorway. It could solve peoples allergies to outer lanes and help with the police forces reluctance to administer antihistamines.
 
Yeah the Hyundai highway assist is pretty similar to be honest. But even roundabouts the Tesla system has a meltdown on

I do like the traffic light alert when they turn green and it nudges you
 
The version of the software over here is completely different to what's deployed in the USA, the only common feature is the name 'auto pilot'. They are not even remotely comparable. What we have is far inferior and should only be used on a proper dual carriageway or motorway and turned off as you approach a junction.

I’ve seen loads. American “roads” are nothing like the complete world. The data harvesting kit I’ve seen to compare LIDAR to sensor sets that include radar for Elon to suggest you don’t need either is frankly comical and educated guessing rather than any sense of driving. Are there any videos showing that trip in the dark when it’s raining. You don’t need to give up on this place, you just need to realise you are not any sort of authority on self driving just because you have a Tesla and use YouTube.
