£310 a month for my V2 on SS. Don’t really worry about anything else. Cheap motoring including work commute and my BMW M3 does everything else. If I used that for work would be £200 in just fuel. The thought of spending £20k on a EV to buy outright makes me feel sick tbh
SS salary sacrifice. No deposit. £20k is a lot of money to just dump on a ‘boring’ second hand carA lease? How long? No deposit? Just pay £310 a month?
Why does it make you sick?

Can take that both ways.
Which is also what she said.

Are you referring to one of those Chadaemo to CCS converters?

Apologies it is only on US models. Battery only 8 years here in the UK.Where have you read that the drivetrain has 8 years with Hyundai? I can only see the battery mentioned.
Over 3 years that is £11,160 you are spending....
On the car, insurance, servicing, tyres, VED and virtually any other incidental maintenance cost... Just add electricity.

Sal sac makes sense on a good scheme, but not everyone is a 40% taxpayer and some schemes take the ****. Also others can have pension implications, so all in all you have to evaluate it on an individual basis rather than say all sal sac is better than buying a used car.
I doubt it'll be under £40k but we can hope, it's a great alternative to the Buzz though which is way too expensive new
Yes I do see your point. But would rather have the cash doing something else. Also how much is the insurance, VED, tyres, servicing on that £20k car though £1800 is just VED on new stuff.Over 3 years that is £11,160 you are spending....
Unless you heavily expect a £20k few years old EV to be worth way less than £10k in 3 years, why on earth would it make you feel sick?
Even a 110,000 mile 6 year old basic Nissan Leaf is going for £5k+ still..
First/second year depreciation on EV's is pretty wild (although same can be said for many expensive ICE cars), but after that it doesnt really seem like you'd be losing a metric ton in depreciation.
I'd definitely not pay the new list price for some of these EVs, but £20-£25k on a low mileage 2 or 3 years old one (like an EV6 or Ioniq 5 etc) doesnt seem too scary
I'm hoping so purely to keep it out of the "luxury" tax bracket to be honest, yeah it's a small amount in the grand scheme of things, but that extra £500 even just from year 1 is probably more than I'd spend to charge it over its lifetime!
