What does that even mean? - if you edit a post type EDIT: and show what your changed as otherwise you are obfuscating your original statement that has been replied to and can make the response look incorrect.
The outcome should be what loss does an EV in New Zealand suffer in their winter as it will not be anything like the UK or Ireland, and how does that materially change what the person asked in the first place.
I am sure someone will be along to comment that 10-15c is freezing and it's going to be rubbish etc. etc. I am looking for actual data which no one here will have any real experience, you have the closest with summer experience, perhaps early to mid spring could be extrapolated to their winter conditions.

Back when Tesla first started, grid was less of an issue, it was convincing hosts to hand over areas of their carpark for a decade plus.Question for the old timers here, back when Tesla first started installing Superchargers in the UK how long did it take before they became pretty common? (as in say one every 50 miles).
I've seen that BYD are bringing 1500kw chargers to the UK which will add 250 miles to compatible EVs in 5 minutes, which means after all these years of waiting buying an EV will finally be viable for me as long as I can find these chargers(I know I will be limited to new BYD and compatible models).

All UK CPOs already struggle to get grid capacity where drivers want it. BYD will be no different.
These chargers need to the buffered out with batteries because they’ll not get the grid to support them. They will not be cheap unless they choose to run it on a subsidised basis.
Anyone who has charged at Cornwall services will know that once the buffer is gone, they’ll be capped by whatever grid speed they have at that location.

Special double chargers only for a specific model range of BYD which require massive grid connections - the economics simply doesn't workWhy are chargers a pipe dream? Nio have zero presence in the UK so not really comparable. BYD already have the best part of 7,000 deployed across China, and the technology is proven.

Thanks, that’s exactly my point. But instead of debating honestly they accuse me of editing my posts to change my narrative when no such thing happened.
Back on topic of a 400+km RWD EV shorter than 4.4m for NZ. For @Grim5
MG.4 Long range with 74kWh useable battery fits the bill. A 61kWh version will get nowhere near that if you aren’t prepared to compromise on a quick top up at a rapid.
When did you last fast charge then.It will drive sales towards BYD from the people who see 5 mins charging, and can't figure out just how little time a normal 800v charger would add, because they think stopping for toliet break in a service s takes 3.457 milliseconds, not sure what the 800 miles without stopping crew will do still.
