EV general discussion

This one?

That's the one yep.

Glad I’m not the only person who’s got rid of a car for similar reasons not long after getting it! Much prefer the i5 though in honesty.

I was worried about the Tesla seats for similar reasons when I got it, but thankfully they’re fine now!

The i5 is such an awkward looking car, I can't explain it. I'm sure it would look better in person and drive just as well.

The rear is my least favourite part.

As cool as it is, those are looks only a mother could love.

I can't imagine how many levels of authorization, design, improvement, sign off and approval those wheels went through to get bolted to that car. Shirley someone involved in that presumably very lengthy process has functioning eyeballs?

Eww.

Cool car tho.

Cars seem to be increasingly boxy looking. Pretty sure it's due to cost pressures from Chinese brands pushing the complexity of panel design down.

Went to go on the EDF tarrif ready for when my car comes. Need a smart meter fitted, so they turn up to fit it and after half hour tell me they cannot because there's a screw missing holding the board in the meter cupboard. Network power have to come and secure it and then he will come back. I offered to do it myself but apparently I'm not qualified to attach some board to the brickwork and he would know I did it.

Getting £300 quotes for the Kona on 20,000 miles, which is cheaper than my mini by £60 so pretty pleased with that.

The cheapest touring is £60k. The saloon discount is massive

Just had my finance account statement through for the iPace I handed back a year ago

GFV 19.4k
Actual sold price at auction £10.5k

Sometimes finance is useful :D

Well, not what I expected to happen to a car coming up to 3 years old. Tesla Model Y:

Noticed when I was out shopping yesterday. Definitely something that has appeared recently.

Have already raised it with Tesla and have it booked in on the 28th at my local service centre. Was originally 98 miles away at the Body Repair Centre in Dartford but I challenged this and got the assessment part moved locally.

That beemer fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. Seriously there's 'deliberately controversial' but aren't BMW supposed to be classy? That's straight up Russian gangster.

I must be in the minority because I think the i5 looks alright.

I mean, it's never going to go down in the history books as one of their timeless designs but in the current market it isn't that offensive.

I like the look of it, obviously. Every review I've read/watched also agrees it's not a bad looking car. Looks are subjective of course.

Went down to the village chippy for tea yesterday and was able to park in the three bay spaces outside. Wifey goes in while I remain in the car. Next car that pulled in was a MG 4 EV who pulled forward to the last slot. Minutes later a Volvo EX60 (quite a few of these around here now) pulls in between me and the MG. Three EV's parked in a row in our village!! When I got my Leaf a couple of years ago you hardly ever saw any EV's around here and now there are loads. With the influx of this years tourists we are seeing them from all over europe and even saw one from Italy the other day, now that is some drive!!
